Ray White Upper North Shore sales agent Lisa Davies just sold a multi-million dollar house in Killara, sight effectively unseen, to an overseas buyer via a Facetime inspection.

“After the recent successful sale of my own property in Killara the vendors of 23 Elva Ave Killara approached me to see if we could engage some of those interested parties in the sale of their home,” Ms Davies said.

“I suggested we run a full online campaign and present the property fully styled and put our database of active buyers in competition with any new buyers out there.

“Within hours of going online we saw strong interest coming in from overseas buyers seemingly wanting to take advantage of the exchange rate and the safety of Australian shores right now. I booked in a number of virtual inspections as well as some local buyers for private inspections over Easter.

“One particular overseas buyer and his family all sat through a 30 minute Facetime showing at noon on Saturday. I walked the family through on the virtual tour from the front gate.

“After many hours on the phone over the Easter weekend I negotiated a sale price of $6.3 million which was well above where the vendors thought the property may sell and reflective of prices we were seeing earlier in the year.

“Within five days of going to market the property was sold and the vendor is thrilled. No doubt the market has changed but we are adapting with it. Vendors have to be realistic and stick with the process and great results are still possible. There’s less buyers but the ones we are seeing are quality buyers. It’s a dream family home.”

The home owners said they were very grateful to have Lisa Davies as their real estate agent.

“Her knowledge, integrity and efficiency are world class and facilitated the quick sale of our house without compromise. We were very impressed with her skills to deliver an outstanding result for us. Her insight into the preparation of our property was very well thought out and organised,” the owners said.

The six bedroom home is beautifully landscaped 1771sqm fronted to the grand facade. The stylish and graceful house has ornate high ceilings and a banquet size formal dining room. The floor plan offers an enormous amount of living space, with distinct and open areas that provide versatility and room for a growing family.
