Former Queensland State Member for Lytton, Neil Symes, has embarked on a career in real estate after joining the team at Ray White Tingalpa in Brisbane’s east as a sales agent.

Ray White Tingalpa Principal Simone Auer said she was delighted Mr Symes had joined the agency and believed he would be a valuable addition to the team at Ray White Tingalpa and its clients.

“Neil has gained valuable experience from his time as a Member of Parliament and has extensive knowledge of the Brisbane bayside community,” Ms Auer said.

“We look forward to Neil’s contribution to Ray White Tingalpa and the Ray White Group, and are excited that he is starting his real estate journey with us.”

Mr Symes was the youngest MP in state parliament when he was elected at the age of 23 at the 2012 Queensland election and the second youngest in the state’s history behind current LNP leader Lawrence Springborg.

“I am pleased to join the team at Ray White Tingalpa and I hope my time as State Member for Lytton, which covers Manly West, Tingalpa, Wynnum, Manly, Lota, Hemmant and Wynnum West, will be beneficial,” he said.

“Being a homeowner myself in Wynnum West for the past two years, I have an in-depth understanding of the local bayside property market and I look forward to providing a high quality service to all clients looking to sell their property.”

Mr Symes, whose qualifications include a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Human Services, said he is an active member of a number of community service organisations in the bayside area.

“Having a strong community awareness and connection brings the right attributes to being able to provide in-depth knowledge for prospective buyers and being able to effectively market a home to the intended market,” he said.

“I hope my strengths in communication, listening and negotiating will provide a unique combination to achieve successful results when selling a family’s most valuable asset while providing on-going transparency and reliability throughout the entire process of selling.”
