Having established themselves as leaders in real estate sales in the mid north region of South Australia, the father and son team of Geoff and Daniel Schell take the next step in their careers as business owners of Ray White Clare and Ardrossan.

Together with their wives Karen and Bec, Geoff and Daniel seized the opportunity to purchase the sales business from Julie Gabe, who will continue to operate the property management component and also focus on residential sales.

“We’re excited to embark on this new venture and start our family real estate business,” said Geoff.

Collectively, Geoff and Daniel have 12 years of sales success and experience within the Ray White Group and a strong connection to the local Clare community.

“Our family have had a long history with the Clare Valley region dating back over 60 years. Today, there are four generations residing in the community,” said Daniel.

“Dad and I really enjoy working together. We are so fortunate that things have worked out this way for us and we’re excited to take this next step. Not many father and son combinations can get on so well in business.”

Geoff says the strength of the existing sales and support teams gave the partners the confidence to purchase the businesses.

“We are so fortunate to have a really talented and energetic team of people at Clare and Ardrossan. Daniel and I are keen to support each of them to be the best that they want to be,” he said.

The Ray White Clare Valley sales team comprises of Geoff and Daniel together with Julie Gabe and Mark O’Meagher. The team is well supported by personal assistants, Carly Marshall, Bree Christie and Rose Salter with Cheryl Barlow as receptionist and Sue Koch in accounts.

Well-known local identity, Kelly Leach services the wider Balaklava area. At the Ardrossan office, Scott Bockmann is achieving outstanding sales results in the region and is supported by Karen Benyo.

“Since we formed our sales partnership three years ago, we have found that we have the same desire to succeed and a very strong determination to be at our best. Our goal is to provide the highest service possible to each of our vendors and we feel great satisfaction when we can assist them to reach a positive sales result,” said Daniel.

Nick George, Managing Director of Ray White SA & NT, says Geoff and Daniel’s business reflects the core values of the Ray White Group.

“The announcement of the Schell family taking ownership of the Clare Valley franchise has been exciting news for the Ray White Group. Our company is the largest real estate group in South Australia and we have seen our regional business grow to the strength of having the largest market share of property sales.

“Geoff and Dan have been our top regional salespeople for the past few years and would certainly hold the biggest share of regional sales overall as is testified by their numerous industry awards*. They represent for us the family values enshrined in Ray White. Our company is now over 110 years old and had its origins in rural Queensland, so it's with great pleasure we announce this important leadership transition at Clare.”
