RAY White Group’s Ercan Ersan has been announced as Agent of the Year for residential real estate agents and property managers, taking home the Gold award at the 2018 AREAs (Annual REA Excellence Awards).
The individual award is geared towards acknowledging the best in class within the key AREAs award categories of innovation, service, and marketing excellence.
As owner and director of Ray White Surry Hills | Alexandria | Erskineville in NSW, Mr Ersan has been with the Group for four years, and he said he was delighted to be recognised with his first AREA award.
“This award is particularly special to win because it doesn’t just focus on number of sales and revenue, but it places a lot of attention on the other key aspects of being a successful real estate agent for our vendors,” he said.
“Communication with our buyers and sellers is absolutely key, and with my business partner Shaun Stoker, we created a revolutionary app where our clients can be kept up to date, literally at the touch of a button.
“The app provides vendors with real-time updates on how many potential buyers have come through the door, how many calls and emails we’ve received and if someone was to make an offer on their property, the vendor would be alerted by SMS straight away.
“Being part of a community is key for us. For the last three years in a row we’ve managed to raise a combined $70,000 tax-free for one of our local schools St Michael’s Primary, by auctioning off a fee-free property sale by myself each year.”
Mr Ersan went on to say that without the support of his team and his wife, the award would not have been possible.“The support from my team the last 12 months has been absolutely incredible. We all pull together in the same direction and we all want what’s best for our clients,” he said.
“And I have to reserve a stand-out mention for my wife. It takes a special partner to support and understand the long hours a real estate agent puts in on a weekly basis and it’s wonderful knowing I have such great backing at home and the office.”
