Australia is famous for its stunning natural landscapes, golden beaches and warm, sunny weather. And that's exactly what you'll find in the waterfront town of Narrabeen.

On the coast of Sydney's Northern Beaches region, the small coastal paradise of Narrabeen makes the perfect spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a great lifestyle close to the big city.

Narrabeen is only 23km outside of Sydney and local residents can easily commute by car or bus. There's even a ferry service from nearby Manly to Sydney for anyone who loves to take in views of the fantastic Sydney harbour.

Lakes, beach and sun

Narrabeen is known for its beach, which is a long strip of golden sand and blue waters along the small, skinny peninsula of land. You'll always be able to find a spot to prop up the brolly or catch a wave, as the beach runs all the way from Narrabeen down to Collaroy.

On the other side of the beach you'll find the peaceful Narrabeen Lagoon. With its stretches of parks, BBQ areas and walking tracks, you'll never run out of fun things to do with the family. You'll often see both locals and visitors at the lagoon enjoying a range of activities like windsurfing, kayaking or boating. Narrabeen Lagoon also makes a great swimming spot when the tide runs in to meet the sea.

What's in the area?

Aside from the beautiful local landscape, Narrabeen has great local amenities. Close to the beach in the heart of the suburb you'll find St Joseph's Primary School, while over the bridge there's Narrabeen North Public School and Narrabeen Sports High School.

Although it's a small beachside town, Narrabeen still has many shops and eateries. Walking along Pittwater Road, you'll come across your regular amenities like grocery and clothing stores, but also a fine selection of cafes.
