When Chris and Yvonne Laukart purchased 7 Tower Rd, Balwyn North, they knew they wanted to build a magnificent house that brought the corner block to life.

In 2021, the couple completed a grand Georgian manor in the neoclassical style that Mr Laukart had always admired from his time in Europe. The couple are now selling their five bedroom home through Ray White Balwyn agent Helen Yan with a price guide of $6.3 to $6.68 million.

“We knew immediately that this was the perfect lot for this type of design and Chris worked closely with Andrew Pavitt, an amazingly talented architect, to achieve every aspect of this classical design while still accommodating our practical living needs for our large family and lifestyle,” Ms Luakart said.

“We recently decided to bring our retirement plans forward and move closer to our children. With this in mind, we are selling this beautiful home knowing that another family will enjoy it for years to come.”

The couple built the house with their large family in mind and wanted to create the perfect entertainer with spacious living spaces, a large kitchen and butler’s pantry along with large glass sliding doors opening to an alfresco area.

“We have seven children, so having our children, their partners, and our eight grandchildren over is quite a full house,” Mr Laukart said.

“We purposely made the living area spacious to accommodate our large family so that gatherings are enjoyable and the space more than accommodates the children playing with toys and the adults relaxing and socialising with each other.

“In fact, during the holidays, we entertained for 40 people including children and there was plenty of space to move around and socialise even with the extra tables set up for a sit-down dinner.
