When principal of Ray White Drummoyne Chris Wilkins found out one of his team members was diagnosed with non Hodgkins Lymphoma he knew he had to do something.
Later this month, Chris will sweat it out at the Blackmores Sydney Marathon in support of his team member and close friend Effy Papachristos.
“For the past six years Effy has been a valuable team member and we are all shocked by the news and wish her all the best,” said Chris.
“I decided I would do this run in her honour and the community spirit and interaction has been incredible.
“Effy’s illness has raised the attention of her clients in such a way they are supporting her directly through donations for my run.
“We have had landlords and tenants sending love, wishes and generous amounts of donations
and so far have raised just over $4500. The Ray White Group will match every dollar raised.”
Chris will run 42km with thousands of Sydneysiders on Saturday 22 September all in the name of charity.
