Ray White, the man, was born in Hobart in 1878 and the area has always been a place of significance for Australia’s biggest real estate group.

Chairman of the Group and grandson of Ray White, Brian White, is proud of the growth in the area as Ray White Southern Tasmania open the doors to its new office space.

“Ant Manton took ownership of our Central Hobart office in 2012 and we’ve seen wonderful things happen since. What began as a team of five has - in two years - more than doubled.

“The unveiling of this impressive new office space will see the coming together of the community to celebrate what’s already been achieved as well as all the good things to come,” Mr White said.

Hosting an event on 21 October 2014 to mark the opening of the new office space, prominent members of the Hobart community will be attending to celebrate the move. Speaker of the House, The Honourable Elise Archer will be attending as will the Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor of Hobart.

“Hobart is a tight-knit community and Ray White is a prominent name here - something we’re really proud of,” Ant Manton said, principal of the Southern Tasmania office.

Showcasing the White family values in the office windows, Mr Manton says it’s an honour to operate in such a symbolic part of Australia.

“We feel very lucky to be a part of the Ray White family and are so proud of the fact we represent the the birthplace of Ray White himself,” he said.

Addendum:

Ray White founded his business in 1902 in the small Queensland country town of Crows Nest. Since then, Ray White has evolved into Australasia’s most successful real estate business, nearly with 1,000 individual offices across nine countries.
