The 20ha property at 98 Foxground Road, Foxground is known as ‘Eagleview Park’ and is being marketed by Ray White Gerringong agent Neil Campbell.

The six-bedroom residence was originally designed and built by the late publicist and media personality Harry M. Miller.

Mr Campbell said: “Wildlife thrives at the property with echidnas, wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, wild deer, and eagles who have become regular visitors”.

“The property also supports Highland cows in the paddocks and chickens in the coop, adding to the charm of the farm stay experience,” Mr Campbell said.

Owner Craig Taylor, who lives in Manly with his partner and son, said they were looking for a weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

“We were drawn to the south coast of New South Wales for its lush green countryside, rolling dairy hills, pristine ocean and dramatic escarpments,” Mr Taylor said.

“Our key requirements were simple: within two hours of Sydney, close to the coast, private, and with breathtaking views”.

Mr Taylor said he first heard about Eagleview Park from friends who had a holiday farm nearby.

“It ticked every box - a peaceful, 20ha hideaway perched high above the surrounding countryside with panoramic views over Seven Mile Beach and the Pacific Ocean,” he said.

The property is truly unique, Mr Taylor said.

“Entry is through security gates leading along a rainforest-lined driveway, past timber-fenced paddocks, dams, rivers, and historic stone walls, before reaching the summit,” he said.

“At 182m elevation, the manicured grounds of the main residence resemble a private resort with uninterrupted coastal and escarpment views.

“The views are truly mind-blowing, and I think it would be fair to say are likely the best, most uninterrupted, dramatic and up close views from a rural property anywhere in the region.”

Each room is oriented to maximise the outlook, while the infinity-edge pool and firepit provide the perfect setting to take in sunsets over the steep slope.

There is a separate fully renovated two-bedroom caretakers cottage adjacent to the property entry that provides additional security.

Mr Taylor purchased Eagleview Park from Helen and Bernard, a local couple who had already recognised its potential as a luxury farm stay destination.

“They established the Eagleview Park brand, complete with a website and a booking portal,” he said.

“The property quickly became a sought-after retreat, commanding over $2,400 per night and attracting repeat guests year after year.

“We’ve continued to share it with guests whenever we are not using it ourselves.”

Since taking ownership, Mr Taylor and his family have made significant enhancements to the property including replacing all fencing, undertaking extensive land care, restoring pastures, upgrading roads, and adding a helicopter pad - making travel from Sydney both “effortless and spectacular”.

“A change in family circumstances now means we can’t enjoy the property as often as before,” Mr Taylor said.

“It feels the right time to pass Eagleview Park on to new custodians who will cherish and enjoy it as much as we have.”
