REGISTERED bidders from as far afield as New York competed for 228 lots at the 44th Annual Ray White-sponsored Dalby Stock Horse Sale with sales under the hammer totaling more than $1.8M.

The top sale was a $42,000 purchase of Narrego Miss Spinductor (Lot 187) to RM and CE Daly of Roma, Queensland. Mrs BG Eykamp of Quirindi New South Wales was the vendor of the seven-year-old mare, sired by Conductor and out of Sunland Opal.

Ray White Dalby Principal Roger Lyne said the quality of horses on offer this year was impressive given the challenge of extended dry conditions affecting many vendors.

“We had 77 per cent of horses sell at auction, and as well as the top $42,000 sale, five mares were sold for $30,000 each, three $28,000 sales were achieved, and several others achieved over $20,000,” Mr Lyne said.

“It was a terrific occasion and wonderful to see registered bidders from beyond our shores. It was a fair sale compared to the season.”

Ray White Rural CEO Stephen Nell said the network support came from far and wide to ensure the success of the event.

“Our auctioneers worked skillfully and tirelessly throughout the sale, and they were supported by a big team behind the scenes,” Mr Nell said.

“Bid spotters took thousands of bids over the two days with the office constantly bustling with vendors, bidders, competitors and agents.

“I must say a special and heartfelt thanks to the whole Ray White team for making such an iconic event a genuine success. Every single person played a pivotal role in what is a stand-out event on the Dalby calendar.”
