A mansion on acreage overlooking the Gold Coast is on the market for the first time through Ray White Broadbeach prestige agents Sam Guo and Julia Kuo.

The lavish hinterland home at 483 The Panorama, Tallai was built by Frank and Jenny Mesiano in 2001 as a base to raise their two children.

Included on the 3ha property is a championship-size tennis court, gymnasium, sauna, indoor-outdoor swimming pool, two spas, an enormous terrace with built-in barbecue and teppanyaki, dam and rainforest.

“We used an architect out of Melbourne, Ermin Smrekar, who built and finished the home in two years,” Mr Mesiano said.

“It was to be our family home forever so low-maintenance and a timeless design were part of the brief to the architect. It was all about the lifestyle and raising a family.”

Mr Mesiano said the incredible outlook, which stretches from Stradbroke Island to Tweed Heads, originally drew them to the land they purchased from well-known local developer Peter Mills.

“That’s why we ended up there, because of the views, and it’s very secluded, peaceful and safe,” he said.

“It’s a place you don’t have to leave as the property has everything, but you’re only 20 minutes to the beach and ten minutes to the bottom of the hill where there’s great schools and Robina Town Centre.”

The 1291sq m house features five bedrooms including self-contained accommodation, multiple living and dining areas, an executive study with custom granite cabinetry, games room and wet bar, wine cellar, double garage with storage and workshop and a grand porte cochère.

Mr Mesiano, director of Global Meats, said the family relocated to be closer to the beach in 2012.

In recent years, Ms Mesiano has been managing the property as a luxury holiday rental which can be hired out for more than $1000 per night.

“The business is still running but we’ve stopped taking bookings,” Mr Mesiano said.

“So the next owner could develop it into a fulltime venture as it’s quite substantial.”

The property is on the market via an expressions of interest campaign, closing Monday, November 26 at 5pm.

Mr Guo said it’s without a doubt one of the best homes on the hinterland.

“It’s got that panoramic view to the whole coastline which is absolutely stunning,” he said.

“It feels like one of those houses in Beverly Hills with a real ‘wow factor’. It’s a very grand and private paradise.”
