Mr Wintour said the first level of the home was extensively renovated after a massive gum tree crashed onto his roof, damaging the bedrooms in 2013.
“After decades of evolution, the home underwent an extensive - yet sympathetic - architectural recreation in 2016,” Mr Wintour said.
As part of the renovation, the home was fitted with new wiring and plumbing, and is fully insulated with sound reducing and UV protective glass.
“The transformation breathed new life into the space, marrying character with global flair,” he said.
Mr Wintour, who has lived at the property since 2000, said he had always had a grand plan to renovate however after the damage caused by the fallen tree this “set the date”.
The now retired disability support worker said underneath the home was previously used as a granny flat, however new buyers could turn it into a teenager’s retreat.
