Matthew brings a decade of experience as a Correctional Officer into his real estate career, a role that demanded resilience, composure under pressure and clear communication in high stress environments. Working in some of the toughest conditions taught him how to navigate difficult conversations, negotiate effectively and remain calm when the stakes are high. These skills now give his clients a genuine advantage when representing them in competitive property transactions.

Before his professional career, Matthew spent two years playing rugby league with the Newcastle Knights and Under 20s and NSW Cup squad from 2009 to 2011. His sporting background shaped his strong work ethic and reinforced a team first mentality, understanding that success comes from preparation, strategy and putting the client’s goals above his own.

Matthew believes no two properties or clients are ever the same. He takes the time to understand each client’s circumstances, motivations and objectives, building tailored strategies designed to achieve the strongest possible result.

“I believe in truly understanding my clients and their needs so that together we can achieve the best possible outcome. Every property is unique and it deserves a strategy that reflects that. No situation is the same, so there is no point treating them that way.”

Outside of real estate, Matthew enjoys making the most of the coastal lifestyle. He spends his spare time surfing, playing rugby league, hiking and capturing sunrise and sunset landscape photography. His appreciation for the outdoors and the local community is one of the reasons he is proud to help others secure their place here.
