Matt has become known as the Sunshine Coast Acreage specialist, and is constantly one of the top performers in this field. Since becoming the Principal of the Ray White Nambour office, this has made it easier as Nambour is the "Heart of the Hinterland" and a hub for buyers looking to find properties that are usable. It helps that he and his family live on acreage themselves, they manage cattle as well as horses and understand what people want and need to know when buying property.
Matt comes from a motorsport background, and has successfully raced for and with some of the sports top teams and drivers both nationally and internationally. Elements of this background have definitely helped him with a real estate career as dedication, focus on precision and chasing everything to be better than the competition reflects in both fields.
The Sunshine Coast acreage community is still quite tight knit, warm and inviting - it doesn't matter if a property is in Landsborough to the South or Eumundi to the North, most people have a common link and this is usually through the school network or the sporting communities. Matt's wife Leisl and daughter Maddy are away most weekends competing in equestrian events either on the coast or around South East Queensland. Matt's eldest son Ayrton has a school based apprenticeship with a motorsport team based on the Sunshine Coast and his youngest son Louis is just happy swimming and playing in the dam regardless of the temperature at home with his mates.
Nambour was the foundation area for the Sunshine Coast, and the town centre still shows the hallmarks of a country town. The Ray White brand was founded in a small country town as well and still has those family values. The values that the town of Nambour and the family owned company Ray White align and are very important to Matt.
