The three-bedroom, one-bathroom property was marketed by Ray White Annerley selling agent Brayden Sheehan and sold in just eight days.

Sitting a dizzying six meters in the air, this property proudly claims the title of one of the highest-elevated homes in one of Rocklea’s lowest points.

“To put that into perspective, during Brisbane’s infamous 2011 floods, the property would have been looking down at 4.5 meters of rushing water while staying entirely high and dry,” Mr Sheehan said.

Mr Sheehan said the seller was on a strict two-week ticking clock after purchasing her dream home on the Sunshine Coast, but the market didn't even need half that time.

“We launched a campaign which saw the home sell in just eight days after a fierce four-way bidding war,” Mr Sheehan said.

“The underbidder narrowly missed out at $825,000, but the winning buyers - a local family who had missed out on a previous property in Moorooka - were absolutely pumped to seal the deal.

“Look, buying a fully renovated house for under a million bucks less than 10 kilometers from the Brisbane CBD is the ultimate real estate cheat code,” said Mr Sheehan, who has held the crown as Rocklea’s number one agent for the past four years.

“People who look in Rocklea are serious buyers who understand the value here. Personally? I believe in the flood mitigation, I believe in the suburb, and honestly, I'd be completely fine with the stairs for views like this!”

The previous owner had initially planned to hold onto the property forever, packing it with high-end luxuries like an Italian marble kitchen (worth $20,000 to $30,000), a jetted spa bath, and premium upgrades.

Perched right next to parkland with no immediate neighbours on either side, the home offers sweeping views from every single window, unreal sunsets, and even cheeky city glimpses from the top level, Mr Sheehan said.

“Beyond the spectacular vantage point and the built-in cardio, the home is a commuter's dream, located just 450 meters from the upgraded Cross-River Rocklea Train Station and the popular Sunday Café.

“For the new buyers, the daily trek up the front steps will be a small price to pay for a modern, marble-clad oasis that sits safely above the rest, proving that in the Brisbane property market, the only way is up.”
