Cameron Kusher, well-known independent consultant to the property industry, and his wife Christine, a senior business analyst at the University of Queensland, have listed their beautiful family home at 30 Jamieson Street, Bulimba.

The five-bedroom, two-bathroom property is being marketed by Ray White Bulimba principal Brandon Wortley and is set to go under the hammer on 13 June at The Calile Hotel.

Mr Wortley said: “The velocity of the market right now is incredible”.

“We’ve seen four family homes sell in just the last seven days, with three of those wrapping up after just three inspections.

“The message from buyers is loud and clear - if a quality family home hits the market, they are ready to move instantly.”

The couple purchased the property just over five years ago, drawn to the highly sought-after pocket by a mix of deep-rooted local knowledge and astute market timing.

Having grown up in the local area, Mr Kusher knew the long-term lifestyle value of the suburb.

At the time of the purchase, the property offered exceptional value, allowing them to secure a substantially larger home and land size compared to competing inner-ring pockets, Mr Kusher said.

Mrs Kusher said: “When we were looking to purchase at the time, it was relatively more affordable than other places we were looking and you got a lot more home for how much you were spending”.

“Obviously all the amenities along Oxford Street were also appealing, we knew the local schools were good and the area was known for being a close-knit community,” she said.

Having lived at the property for the past five years, the Kushers focused on meticulous cosmetic enhancements designed to optimise comfort and sustainability for a growing family.

The home features a freshly repainted exterior, beautifully revitalised and manicured gardens, the addition of solar panels, and seamless functional upgrades throughout.

“We spend most of our time in the kitchen and lounge room, which has become my absolute favorite part of the house," Mr Kusher said.

“It has brilliant flow, exceptional natural light, and it’s just an incredibly comfortable place to be.”

For Mrs Kusher, the home’s appeal lies heavily in the idyllic childhood lifestyle it provided for their two young children.

The thoughtfully designed layout allows for effortless line-of-sight supervision from the central kitchen and expansive deck across the entire backyard.

“Some of our happiest memories are the simplest ones - swinging on the swing play set and splashing in the pool,” Mrs Kusher said.

“I have loved being able to stand in the kitchen or relax on the deck while watching the kids play in the yard, throw the ball for our dog Winnie, jump on the trampoline, and master the monkey bars.

“Our oldest was just three when we moved here, so this home truly holds the foundation of our family memories.”

The decision to sell comes as the family prepares for an exciting new chapter interstate.

With the majority of Mr Kusher’s consultancy work based outside of Queensland, the family is leveraging the move to embark on a regional 'tree-change', seeking a shift in pace while remaining deeply connected to the property industry.
