Emma Chapman leads Ray White Bathurst to new heights
Ray White Bathurst is redefining real estate in the Central West under the dynamic leadership of newly appointed director Emma Chapman.
With a deep understanding of the local market, Emma and her team will work alongside principals Stephen and Kathie Townsend, setting new benchmarks for client service, sales success, and community engagement.
Stephen said bringing Emma on as director was a “natural evolution” for this business.
“Having watched her build our property management department from the ground up over the last three years with property management specialist Carla Press, Kathie and I have seen firsthand her relentless work ethic and her 'reputation-first' philosophy,” he said.
Emma said together with her team at Ray White Bathurst, they are ready to bring a fresh and dedicated approach to real estate.
“Our goal is to be the go-to agency in Bathurst, not just the biggest, but the best,” Emma said.
“My previous boss always said reputation is everything, and that's a philosophy I live by.”
Emma said the team at Ray White Bathurst specialises in residential and lifestyle properties and champions a client-focused strategy.
“Bathurst is very local-focused, and we are proud locals ourselves,” Emma said.
“This local expertise, combined with the Ray White network's capacity to attract city buyers, provides a unique competitive edge for sellers.
“We offer unparalleled communication, honesty, and detailed vendor reports. We don't just list properties; we actively market them.”
She highlighted her team's recent achievement in The Reserve Windradyne estate, where Ray White Bathurst has sold more than $8.3 million worth of land since March last year.
“We were the sole local agency successfully selling properties in the estate for a significant period,” Emma said.
“This success, including a single deal of 16 lots valued at over $6.2 million, helped turn around public perception and generate strong momentum for the development.
“Due to the momentum we have created this year, other agencies have come on board to sell the land.”
The close-knit team of six, including Emma’s sister Shannon as a sales associate, and long-time local property manager Carla, embody a ‘work family’ ethos.
“We're a majority female business, and everyone is committed to quality and honesty,” Emma said.
Before her real estate career, Emma honed her sales skills at Mercedes-Benz in Orange.
Growing up in the rural areas around Blayney and Lyndhurst, and with a Bachelor of Business degree, she attributes her strong work ethic and understanding of commitment to her working-class background and early experiences as a wool handler.
“It taught me the importance of hard work and how my actions impact the final outcome,” she said.
Ray White CEO NSW/ACT Tim Snell said: “Emma is a standout talent within the Ray White network. Her transition into the role of director at Bathurst is a testament to her success in the local market, particularly her recent results in The Reserve Windradyne estate”.
