Auctions have always been the lifeblood of Australasia’s largest real estate group, and it was with this in mind that encouraged Sunshine Coast agent Sarah-Louise Anderson to become one of the region's first female auctioneers.
“Becoming an auctioneer for the Ray White Group has been a goal in the back of my mind since the first auction I watched Dan Sowden call,” Ms Anderson said, of her principal at Ray White Maroochydore.
At 29 years of age and with five years under her belt as an agent, she boasts an auction sales success rate of 84 per cent over the past 12 months.
Ms Anderson is up for the challenge, having been thrown numerous hurdles throughout her adult life, but she hasn’t let it get in her way of dreaming big.
“At age 18 I was diagnosed with kidney failure, and underwent 12 surgeries before having my kidney removed last year,” Ms Anderson said.
“My family and I actually relocated to the Sunshine Coast because of the incredible medical facilities we have available; some of the best in the whole country,”
“Aside from the huge medical industry here, there are so many infrastructure projects and huge migration; it's the perfect place for a young agent to start their career,” she said.
Ms Anderson said that finding her passion amongst the adversity has been a silver lining, and she credits her team for believing in her and pushing her to success.
“Being a part of the Ray White Maroochydore team is the single most incredible opportunity that has been given to me and I have nothing but gratitude to Dan for creating such a supportive environment and encouraging my personal and professional growth so far,” she said. |
