West Ryde is an idyllic tree-lined suburb, with an easy commute to the Sydney CBD. The area was first populated at the tail-end of sixteenth century, and has enjoyed tranquillity and prosperity ever since.

The railway station that was installed on the Strathfield to Hornsby line, which was opened in 1886, was the birth of West Ryde as a suburb in its own right, and started the influx of Sydneysiders to the peaceful locale.

Today the train provides a great alternative to driving for those who work in central Sydney. Of course there are plenty of opportunities for employment, business ventures or investment within the City of Ryde itself.

What does West Ryde look like now?

2011 Census figures show that West Ryde boasts a population of approximately 12,000, with an even split of women and men. It is a progressive suburb, with almost a quarter of the population having received a tertiary education. A third of all current students study at a tertiary or technical institution.

The people of West Ryde are young and fun, with the median age being 35 and over 20 per cent of the population being under the age of 19. If you are looking for an ideal place to settle or start a family, West Ryde would be a great candidate suburb.

How best to experience West Ryde

With a diverse cultural mix, West Ryde is home to many varieties of local and foreign cuisine. More than half of West Ryde households speak more than one language, according to the Census data.

The diverse mix of the suburb means you'll always be able to find someone who you can relate to - an increasingly important aspect of life in our globalised world.

If your weekend is the time you use to escape from the pressures of work, then close proximity to a top notch golf course, beautiful parks and the Parramatta River will be what draws you in.

Commonly thought of as an area with excellent public transport, great village shops and a bustling business park, West Ryde offers ample opportunities for new families to the area.

Excellence and local knowledge

Selling Principal of Ray White West Ryde, Fayez Saadie enjoys welcoming new families to the area. With his excellent local knowledge and hard-working dedication to the sales process, it's easy to feel comfortable buying your first piece of real estate in this family-friendly suburb.

Fayez leads his team with enthusiasm, and ensures a market-savvy and professional environment in his office at all times, and if you're selling in West Ryde, this extends to your home too.
