The RAY WHITE GROUP has 221 auctions across Australia and New Zealand this weekend.

Tristan Bassey from Ray White Elizabeth Bay has been overrun with a good range of potential buyers looking at 51 Keppos St Redfern.

“We’ve had 120 groups through already,” said Mr Bassey, “And there’s been a real range from single professionals to first home buyers - and families who can see the chance to build a third bedroom.”

Surprisingly also in the fray are a large portion of people looking for what was once rather romantically called a pied-de-terre; a city base.

With a guide of $1.3m everyone’s as keen as mustard, with five building inspections completed and 20 contracts issued. The bids will be flowing from 2.30pm.

In Dulwich Hill a period terrace with loads of charm has tempted 70 inspections. Ray White Summer Hill’s Eric Polsek believes the existing charm, combined with the three-bedroom charm will bring more than a few bidders. There have already been eight contracts issued on the pretty property, at 3 Abergeldie St, which has a guide of $1.45m-$1.59m.

Only those with really good imaginations or degrees in architecture are looking at this one in very buzzy Crown St, Surry Hills. Amazingly this one has (until the campaign began) been rented out at $720 a week. Ray White Surry Hills’ Jack McGhee says there have in fact been three architects through 495 Crown, looking at using the building as both office and home thanks to the mixed-use zoning. Seventy groups will have walked through the house (and no doubt admired the old outside loo) while considering the rear entrance parking potential. There are 15 contracts out, and the guide price is yet to be locked down. Be ready to go early, this one has a 10.00am start.

A one-bedroom unit in Kingsford has attracted 40 groups through ( a mixture of first home buyers and investors), and three pre-auction offers have been put on the table. Ray White Kingford’s Ferry Suwito says he has seven potential buyers who have assured him they will be bidding on the day. The block of nine is low maintenance and well cared for, 5/49 Forsyth St, Kingsford goes under Alex Pattaro’s hammer at 10.30am.

It’s often been said that nobody asks the most stunning girl (or guy) in the room out on a date; everyone assumes she (or he) is spoken for. The same may be said for this absolutely knockout mansion in Mossman WA, as no one has ever lived in it. Fabulous pictures have adorned publications of the glam life offered at 2 Masson Mews. The former display home has five bedrooms and three, superbly outfitted palatial levels, all on the river's edge … eyes will definitely be on this listing, held by Ray White Dalkeith principal Vivien Yap, as it goes under the hammer at 10am local time.

In South Morang Nick Petrovski is quietly confident of four bidders turning up for his auction of 78 Twin River Drive. Thirty groups have been through, covering the highly competitive first home buyer and downsizer demographic with everyone liking the ‘not a cent to spend’ aspect as well as the great location near to major transport links. With an 11am kick off this property will be one to watch.

A townhouse in Fitzroy north is as rare as hens’ teeth according to Ray White Agent Nick Suppa who is auctioning the one and only on Saturday after being besieged by 147 inspections.

The two-storey townhouse at 17 Tempany Street is chicly contemporary with an unusual layout including a courtyard and a bonus balcony. Sixty contracts have been requested and offers are already on the table. The coffee cart arrives at 10.30 and the auction commences at 11.00am.In Adelaide's suburb of Panorama is a property that has a delightful and well designed three-bedroom home - but people looking for the ideal backyard have been drawn in to 3 Hillrise Road, (pictured above) which has a guide of $550,000There's handy rear lane access to the zone which includes a pool, level lawn, shed and potential man cave in the shape of a four-car garage with car pit.

Start your engines at 1pm and meet up with Ray White Unley's Joe Marriott.

In Brisbane and at 10am a surprise package in Stafford goes under the hammer. Ray White Wilston's Al Rigato has had a great response from the 40 groups that have inspected the four-bedroom home at 89 Harold St. (pictured above)

"The front appears as post war but the owners added a contemporary pod in the back, it's a great idea," Mr Rigato said.

Add in the inground pool and excellent landscaping and you can see why there are four bidders, at least, expected to attend the auction.
