MORE than 200 Ray White properties across the country are scheduled to go to auction this Saturday, including a gorgeous 1930s Queenslander in the popular Brisbane suburb of Graceville.

Ray White Sherwood’s Douglas May said he’s fielded strong interest in 37 Evadne St since it went to market, which is translating into solid numbers through the door at open inspections.

“It’s an amazing location in a highly sought-after area and we’re buoyed we should have good activity,” he said.

“Around 90 per cent of the interest is coming from families with at least two or three kids. The Graceville State School catchment is a very big deal in this area, as well as the high performing private schools.”

Mr May will hold one final inspection of the property (above) at 10.30am on Saturday before the auction call commences at 11am.

At midday, 13kms south of Brisbane’s CBD, is the auction of 2 Gartford St, Robertson marketed by Ray White Annerley’s Bevin Powell.

The multi-level family home (above) is walking distance to an express bus service and close to Sunnybank Plaza, Westfield Garden City and Griffith University.

“It’s unique in that it’s a ‘70s brick build with the brickwork all exposed and three levels of living in a quiet location,” Mr Powell said.

“Buyers looking are mostly young couples, I think they’d do a little bit of renovation but it’s a solid corner block and the buyers are interacting strongly with the property and embracing its uniqueness.”

Live by the water with the purchase of a Gold Coast canal home at 16 Marlin Court, Palm Beach.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom brick house is on a 612sq m block of land with 18m water frontage in a quiet cul-de-sac just minutes from world-class beaches, top schools and trendy cafes.

Ray White Palm Beach’s Anthony Broomhall is taking the deceased estate to auction at midday on Saturday.

“It’s one of the better cul-de-sacs in Palm Beach with a great community vibe,” Mr Broomhall said.

“Good properties in great locations always have interest and our open numbers have been well above the norm. It’s just one of those locations, people are turning up to find out more about it because it’s where they want to be.”

North to the Sunshine Coast where a Buderim beauty at 19 Barnes Drive has an auction time of 10am this Saturday.

High on a mountain with glorious views to Caloundra, Ray White Buderim’s Nathan Nicholl said the home (above) is surrounded by nature yet only minutes to the local village.

“It’s right at the top and you can walk to the village, so being so close to everything but also having a view is special,” he said.

In Victoria is the 11am auction of a large well-presented Melbourne apartment (above) at 6/13 Elm Grove, McKinnon.

Ray White Carnegie sales consultant Tom Grieve said the two-bedroom, one-bathroom property has plenty of attractive features.

“I think the fact it’s so close to the station, shops, and it’s in the McKinnon Secondary College zone,” Mr Grieve said.

“McKinnon Secondary College has such a strong reputation that it draws all sorts of interested buyers from an investment point of view. Investors know properties like this get leased out straight away without a problem.”

The indicative selling price for 6/13 Elm Grove, McKinnon is $470,000 to $510,000.

Around 7kms away, Ray White Cheltenham’s Georgie Christodoulou is taking 39 Donald St, Highett to auction at 11am.

It’s the first time in 40 years the solid rendered brick home has hit the market.

Ms Christodoulou said the property had retained its charm as a great family residence.

“The home has so much potential, the buyer can do anything really they wish with it,” she said.

“We’ve got families wanting it, as well as builders and developers so the interest is coming from a mix of buyer.”

The attached price guide on Ms Christodoulou’s listing is $1.150 million to $1.250 million.

Staying in Melbourne, Ray White Craigieburn’s Adrian Prestileo is taking an immaculate three-bedroom, two-bathroom home (above) to auction at 1pm.

The house at 152 Newbury Boulevard, Craigieburn has ducted heating, split-system air conditioning, CCTV, large linen cupboards, entertaining deck and a double garage with internal entry.

Mr Prestileo has listed the property for sale via auction with a price range of $500,000 - $530,000.

Wrapping up Saturday’s auction action in Adelaide where a solid brick, sandstone-fronted home is scheduled to go under the hammer at 3pm.

The 823sq m property at 85 Ashbrook Ave, Payneham offers great opportunity to subdivide or renovate, subject to council approval.

There’s been strong interest in this home as it’s on a large inner-city allotment.
