MORE than 230 Ray White residential properties are scheduled to go under the hammer this Saturday, which is a similar volume to last Saturday when the group recorded a clearance rate of 51.6 per cent.

The Ray White Group Auctions Report also shows more than 7000 people attended Ray White auctions last week, with 541 active bidders from the 691 registered.

This week’s big auction action kicks off today when the Ray White Surfers Paradise Group holds an in-room auction event at Gold Coast Turf Club from 11am.

Fifteen properties are on the order of sale, with three selling prior.

Also today, Ray White Canberra is holding its Winter Warmer Auction event at Manuka Oval.

Twenty-seven homes will go under the hammer, with calls for opening bids starting from 5.30pm.

This Saturday in New South Wales, Ray White’s expecting to take 72 homes to auction including a gem for first-home buyers at 12/8 Sparkes St, Camperdown.

Ray White Surry Hills’ Ercan Ersan is managing the 9am auction of the one-bedroom, one-bathroom inner-city pad (above), which is minutes from Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Sydney University.

“We’re hoping it goes for over $600,000 and we’re getting a lot of interest in that $550,000 to $600,000 range,” Mr Ersan said.

A Drummoyne home, built 35 years ago by the current owners, is going to auction at 3pm.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom double brick residence (above) at 15 Dening St is unusual for the area, according to Ray White Drummoyne’s Chris Wilkins.

“For Drummoyne, it’s quite a unique home,” Mr Wilkins said.

“The land size is above average and the layout with basement level is amazing.”

Around 30kms north-west of Sydney’s CBD at 3.30pm is the auction of an “outstanding investment opportunity”.

Ray White Castle Hill’s Karl Anthony said the 943sq m block (above) at 93 Showground Rd, Castle Hill was zoned for medium density development.

“I deal with realistic vendors, people who want and are motivated to sell,” Mr Anthony said.

“This is a time when investors and developers actually put their hands up to shine and build their property profile. They’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time, and this is the time to strategically land bank. On the other hand, this is the time when vendors can really start to look at the next step of life, do I have to wait for five to ten years or can I cash out now and enjoy the next ten years of life?”

Ninety-five Ray White properties are expected to go to auction this Saturday across Victoria.

At 10am, Ray White South Morang director Nick Petrovski is managing the auction of 7/34 Greig Drive, Mernda.

Mr Petrovski said the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home (above) offered great value in a convenient location.

“It’s close to the shopping centre and only 15 minutes walk to the new upcoming Mernda rail due to commence later this month,” he said.

“We’ve got a blend of first-home buyers, people looking at downsizing and one or two investors interested. It represents good buying in today’s climate.”

The attached indicative price guide for Mr Petrovski’s listing is $400,000 to $440,000.

Ray White Balwyn director Helen Yan has a contemporary family home (above) in the desirable Blackburn High School zone going under the hammer at midday.

“This property is perfect for first-home buyers wanting a comfortable living,” Ms Yan said.

“Its corner block is also a great feature.”

The price range for Ms Yan’s listing at 67 Esdale St, Nunawading is $1.3 million to $1.38 million.

For around $370,000 to $407,000, you may be able to pick up a townhouse 30 minutes north of Melbourne’s CBD.

The three-bedroom home (above) at 11/90 Edgars Rd, Thomastown is going to auction at 1pm through Ray White Epping’s John Metaxas.

“Where this home is positioned you have great access to the ring road and a good run down straight into the city,” Mr Metaxas said.

Investors are keen on 4 Charles Court, Sydenham (above) which is going to auction at 3pm, 25kms north-west of Melbourne’s CBD, with a price guide of $570,000 to $620,000.

“This one’s attracting interest based on its location,” Ray White Taylors Lakes’ Talisa Paris said.

“The 650sq m property is within walking distance of the train station and Watergardens Shopping Centre.”

Also at 3pm is the auction of a single-level villa (above) in the Box Hill High School zone at 2/6 Salisbury Ave, Blackburn.

Ray White Box Hill’s Aaron McDonald said the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home had a price guide of $900,000 to $990,000.

“What everyone loves about this property is that it’s right in heart of the village,” he said.

“It’s one of Melbourne’s hidden secrets in one of the best school zones Melbourne has to offer.”

More than 50 Ray White properties are being taken to auction across Queensland this Saturday, including a home (above) made out of shipping containers in Brisbane.

Ray White Nundah’s Scott Freeman is managing the 1.30pm auction of 40 Jensen Rd, Banyo.

“This is an absolutely amazing property that not only locals have been keen to see, but renovators and buyers from far and wide have been through amazed at the finishes, smart electronics and, of course, the addition and integration of two shipping containers,” Mr Freeman said.

“With a great floorplan and prominent street appeal, this eclectic home is ready for its next owners.”

Ray White Wilston’s Trent Vinson said he was expecting a good turnout at the 9.30am auction of 39 Royal St, Virginia (above).

“There’s nothing to do and it’s still an affordable price point, on a decent size block,” he said.

“The majority of interested parties are young couples probably looking to start a family, or maybe people in their late 50s whose kids have left home and they want to live on the one level.”

The charming renovated home is on a large 627sq m block within 15kms of Brisbane’s CBD.

A near-new family home (above) on an 812sq m parcel of land at 109a Blackwood St is going to auction at 11am through Ray White Alderley’s Kim Ridings and Rob Missenden.

“The kitchen and living areas spill out onto the deck and straight out onto a beautiful pool, while there’s also loads of playing room for kids,” Ms Ridings said.

“We’re meeting a lot of buyers who love that all the work has been done. They want contemporary and it represents good value because of the land. It’s in Blackwood Street so you really don’t need a car because it’s a short walk to rail, buses and the Blackwood Street cafe precinct.”

At 2pm in East Brisbane, a grand family residence (above) is going under the hammer with auctioneer Phil Parker calling the shots.

The enormous seven-bedroom, six-bathroom home is on a 1518sq m fully-fenced north-facing block of land at 103 Mowbray Tce.

“Properties like this one are rarely on the market, particularly in East Brisbane,” Ray White East Brisbane’s Madi Roche said.

“It’s spread over three lots but the third lot is unencumbered by the house.”

Ms Roche said a self-contained granny flat-style bungalow was perfect for extended family members, teenagers or guests.

“It’s such a big house, and the floorplan is very impressive with the entire ground living level opening out to vast alfresco areas,” she said.

“It’s incredibly private as well so it’s great for the kids to run around and play.”

Buyers are also keen on a renovated Queenslander being taken to auction by Ray White Holland Park’s Piers Crawford at 3pm.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom family home (above) at 14 Headfort St, Greenslopes has city views and is within walking distance to Greenslopes Private Hospital.

“It’s one of the last 5km radius suburbs that’s a bit cheaper than West End and Coorparoo,” Mr Crawford said.

“It’s the last frontier where you can pick up something mid-$700,000s or lower.”

Also at 3pm, on Brisbane’s bayside, is the auction of an eye-catching property (above) surrounded by lovely large homes.

The four-bedroom house at 66 Wilde St, Wynnum has been held in the same family since 1972, according to Ray White Cleveland’s Vern Jensen.

“We’ve received all sorts of interest,” Mr Jensen said.

“Structurally it’s in good order and it’s deceiving how big it is. It’s also just a few hundred metres to the waterfront so it’s in a great spot.”

At the same time in Adelaide, Ray White Norwood’s Nick Borrelli is taking 25 Giles St, Magill to auction as one of nine Ray White South Australian homes going under the hammer.

The solid brick sandstone-fronted residence (above) is on a 695sq m corner block with a north-south facing aspect.

“It’s in a really nice part of Magill surrounded by blue-chip suburbs close to the hills, city and in a good school zone,” Mr Borrelli said.

Cracking properties to flag for Sunday include a Gold Coast home (above) which is going under the hammer, with the owner’s boat thrown into the deal.

The sellers of the renovated entry-level waterfront house at 120 Rio Vista Boulevard, Broadbeach Waters are moving overseas so the 19ft Four Winns Horizon boat is included in the sale.

Listed by Ray White Broadbeach’s Stuart Reeder, the home is one of around 20 properties on the schedule to sell at Ray White Queensland’s Gold Coast Auction Spectacular event at Sheraton Marina Mirage, with registrations opening at 10am.

"These events are designed to put a spotlight on the properties and encourage maximum buyer interest,” Ray White Queensland chief auctioneer Mitch Peereboom said.

“With significant interest in a number of properties already, we are looking forward to some exceptional results."
