Exactly 250 auctions are scheduled for this Saturday across the Ray White network, including a huge 99 Ray White properties expected to go under the hammer in Victoria.

Volume has significantly increased from last Saturday, when 208 Ray White auctions were scheduled across Australia and New Zealand, with the highest volume again (62) in Victoria.

On our hot list of auctions to watch this Saturday is the hopeful sale under the hammer at 9.30am of a classic Queenslander (above) at 20 Portland St, Annerley.

“It just suits the Annerley market really well in that it’s a fully renovated three bedroom Queenslander which sits nicely in our market,” Ray White Annerley principal Geoff Sellars said.

“It’s in a great spot and nicely presented. Annerley tends to be a transition suburb where buyers come from their first house/unit or townhouse into a house to start a family.”

Located on a 541sq m north-facing corner block, the property is ready to live in now while there’s also scope to lift and renovate.

Ray White Albion’s Jon Finney is taking “the best piece of real estate in Hendra at the moment” to auction at 12.30pm.

Held by the same family for 34 years, 9 Pring St is an unrenovated Queenslander on a 850sq m allotment (above).

“This is rare, these sorts of homes are seldom available anymore on this size land,” Mr Finney said.

“I’ve been in Hendra for nearly 30 years myself and the changing of the guard started to happen back then in the early ‘90s, with older generations moving out and more wealthy younger generations moving in.”

At 2pm, in Logan City, is the auction of an architect-designed family home (above) built by the current sellers.

Ray White Springwood/Daisy Hill’s Tracey Steuart said 58 Jilbard Drive is of an unusual style for the area, which is just outside of Brisbane.

“It’s unique which is why it’s so special, all that timber and brick on a big block which is really rare for Springwood,” Ms Steuart said.

“It suits everybody but it’d be great for a family or couples thinking about starting a family. It’s a special property that you can definitely move into and then improve gradually over time.”

A gorgeous Tarragindi house (above) is going under the hammer at 6pm, and it must be sold under the hammer according to Ray White Bulimba’s Mark Diamond.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom at 137 Laura St has been raised and built in underneath.

“It has two master ensuites, instead of just one,” Mr Diamond said.

“The target audience has been a mix of local doctors and nurses working at Greenslopes Private Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, as well as others looking at upgrading from townhouses in the area. Tarragindi is a very family oriented area and because of the close distance to the city and proximity to transport, it’s a very high demand area.”

Sixty-eight Ray White properties are scheduled to go under the hammer across New South Wales on Saturday, including the 11am auction of a popular one bedroom Potts Point apartment (above) listed by Ray White Elizabeth Bay’s Tristan Bassey.

Mr Bassey said the north-facing 204/113-115 Macleay St home had a price guide of $750,000 to $800,000.

“First-home buyers are coming back into the market after the investors have dropped off,” he said.

“There is not much available stock in that price point. There’s a lot under $700,000 and over $1.5 million but not much in between. Being over 50sq m makes it open to lending on it compared to other properties in the Potts Point area. It’s in a popular art deco building too.”

North-west of Sydney’s CBD is the 11am auction of a deceased estate at 1 Suttor Place, Baulkham Hills.

Ray White Baulkham Hills principal Darren Dowd said the family home (above) on a large 695sq m corner block is in a neat, mostly original condition.

“It’s in a good little pocket, with a very good price guide ($900,000) that everyone is hungry about,” he said.

“The new rail link is going to be close by and M2 access is a couple of minutes away.”

Ray White Castle Hill’s Karl Anthony is pumped up for his midday auction of 11 Anthony Rd, Castle Hill (above).

“This is going to be one of the best auctions I’ve conducted for the past 12 months,” he said.

“The reason why is because this property is only three years old in a great location. It’s walking distance to the train station, and built with quality high-end fixtures, presented beautifully and maintained so it looks six months old. The average sale price in Castle Hill is around $1.25 million but this will smash the average sale price for this precinct because it is a newly built home close to the train station.”

A single-level character home (above) at 19 Yarrabung Ave, Thornleigh is scheduled for auction at 12.30pm with Ray White Pennant Hills director Nathan Leuzzi.

“It’s been updated since it was originally built in the 1950s,” Mr Leuzzi said.

“The vaulted rake ceilings let in great natural light and it’s a good starter home in the area, you don’t have to do too much work and it’s a nice flat block.”

Less than 16kms west of Melbourne’s CBD is the 11am auction of 34 Collenso St, Sunshine West which comes with approved plans and permits for three dwellings.

Ray White Caroline Springs’ Vince Carnevale said the 697sq m parcel of land (above) had attracted developers.

“It’s an old suburb that’s now extremely sought after with great infrastructure,” Mr Carnevale said.

“The price guide is around $690,000 to $740,000.”

At the same time is the auction of an apartment in the popular Box Hill High School zone, at 2/40 Cameron Rd, Box Hill North.

Ray White Blackburn director and auctioneer Mark Edwards has listed the three bedroom unit (above) with an indicative selling price of $823,000 to $905,000.

“It’s elevated and backs onto Springfield Park so it has park views which can’t be built out,” he said.

At 1pm in Melbourne, the best development site offered in St Albans is going under the hammer, according to the team at Ray White St Albans.

The 590sq m property (above) at 73 Alfrieda St is currently used as a medical facility comprised of five treatment rooms, a reception area, kitchen, central bathroom, powder room and laundry.

Ray White St Albans’ Peter Dang said the price guide attached to the listing was $1.6 million to $1.75 million. Also in Melbourne at 1pm is the auction of a property which should appeal to first-home buyers and investors.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom family home (above) at 7 Landbury Rd, Bundoora has a price guide of $570,000 to $620,000.

“It’s an entry-level buy for the area,” Ray White South Morang director Nick Petrovski said.

“The home has potential as it’s neat but you can improve it. The location is great as it’s a short walk to Norris Bank Primary School, parklands, bike tracks, walking trails and sporting reserves. It’s not far from shopping centres and tram 86 takes you to the CBD.”

At 11am in Perth is the auction of deceased estate at 12 Lamb Ave, Bentley.

Ray White South Perth’s Lisa Mann said the 688sq m subdividable block (above) was wonderfully positioned.

“The location is brilliant having the tranquil Mitchell Park and lake to enjoy on the corner, then you can walk to Bentley Plaza,” Ms Mann said.

“There is plenty of public transport. It’s close to Perth’s CBD, Curtin University and the newly upgraded Westfield Carousel which will see the unveiling of a one-of-a-kind retail, dining and entertainment destination. The introduction of David Jones will anchor a new fashion mall that will be home to more than 60 new stores, a multi-deck carpark, an open-air lifestyle and leisure precinct, a fully refurbished 14-screen Hoyts cinema, and over 20 new restaurants providing an unrivalled international dining offering for the local community.”

Meantime, at 11am in Adelaide, a stone-fronted symmetrical villa in the Port Road precinct is available to buy at auction.

Ray White Woodville principal Peter Kiritsis said 3 Ponsonby St, West Hindmarsh was an affordable and interesting entry to the city fringe.

“Who’s for the next 60 years? It’s a much-loved home complete with a wine-stomping vat,” he said.
