ENOUGH people to record a full house at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium have attended Ray White auctions since July 1, 2018.

According to the Ray White Group Auction report, the overall attendance figure at Ray White auctions this financial year has reached a whooping 87, 887.

Almost 250 Ray White listings are scheduled to go under the hammer this Saturday, including 87 in New South Wales, followed by Victoria (81) and Queensland (47).

Under the hammer in New South Wales...

After more than 60 years, 60 Dening St, Drummoyne is on the market with a price guide of $1.75 million to $1.8 million.

Ray White Drummoyne’s Chris Wilkins said the striking double brick family home (above), which is going to auction at 10am, was ideally positioned.

“We’ve had really good numbers through of mostly young families wanting to renovate or build,” he said.

“It’s about 6kms from Sydney’s CBD and north-facing, less than 100m to the waterfront with parks, shopping and buses all easily accessible on foot.”

Golfers should pencil in the auction of 82 Cobham Ave, Melrose Park at 10.30am.

Ray White Gladesville’s Barrie Brown said the three-bedroom house (above) backs right onto Ryde-Parramatta Golf Course.

“It’s a Group 1 course, one of the top courses in Sydney and it’s hosted the NSW Open,” he said.

“It’s right on the 18th tee so you don’t get balls in your yard which is a bonus and no one is getting to that tee before 8am so you won’t have people in your backyard at 6am like you do at some golf course homes.”

Mr Brown said the sellers had owned the 537sq m property since 1954.

“Believe it or not, this is the only house for sale in Melrose Park in the three or so weeks of the campaign so far,” he said.

“If you had this home in Gladesville you’d be asking $1.85 million, in North Ryde about $1.6 million but our price is around $1.3 million.”

An unoccupied property (above) in the City of Shoalhaven, under three hours from Sydney, is being taken to auction at 10am by Ray White Berry’s Shane Hilaire.

“Throwback from the retro era with this brick and tile cottage sitting on a private creekside parcel of land in Cambewarra Village,” Mr Hilaire said.

“Very few properties have that direct access to that creek. No direct comparisons are on the market therefore it’s a very unique opportunity to secure one of the original holdings in the village.”

Mr Hilaire has listed 54 Main Rd, Cambewarra Village with a price guide of above $500,000.

A California bungalow (above) with dual income potential on the Belmore border is going under the hammer at 1.30pm.

Ray White Belmore director Dean Vasil said 122 Moreton St, Lakemba had been held by the same family for more than three decades.

“An old Greek family lived there for many, many years,” Mr Vasil said.

“I think the income factor is driving investors as, with council approval, there’s definite potential for a granny flat.”

The price guide on the five-bedroom home is $900,000.

The 2.45pm auction of a deceased estate (above) at 37 Clarinda St, Hornsby offers buyers the opportunity to purchase a rare subdividable property in the area.

Ray White Hornsby selling principal Jaime Garrick said the 1480sq m offering had been concept approved and was near ready to be subdivided into two lots.

“It’s one of the rare level lands that can be subdivided and it’s in a school catchment that everyone loves,” he said.

“Recent sales have shown prices between $1.6 million and $1.9 million in two lot subdivision potentials.”

Fancy a beach pad but have a tight budget?

Ray White Fairweather Group’s Brian Fairweather has listed “ the cheapest two-bedroom unit in Collaroy”.

With a price guide of $630,000, 2/8 Ramsay St (above) is going under the hammer at 3pm.

“Our guide of $630,000 is below the threshold for stamp duty,” he said.

“The owners bought another property in Canberra and have settlement in six weeks so they want this one sold.”

Under the hammer in Victoria…

North-east of Geelong, in the town of Lara, Ray White Lara’s Matthew Wade is taking a couple of acreage properties to auction on Saturday.

A four-bedroom Malishev-build house (above) at 14-17 Nilaur Place is scheduled to go under the hammer at midday with an indicative price guide of $1.1 million to $1.2 million.

“It’s five minutes walk to Lara train station and the shopping centre is close by so it’s the perfect location for families and commuters,” he said.

“It’s a grand home constructed by one of the best builders in Geelong.”

At 2pm, Mr Wade is taking another four bedroom family home (above) to auction.

This one’s at 2/4 McHarrys Rd and it has a price guide of $955,000 to $995,000.

“I’ve had great interest around both properties,” he said.

“People see value in these homes and see the affordability of these sorts of prices on this size land.”

Ray White Craigieburn’s Trish Orrico has another feature-packed home going under the hammer this Saturday at midday.

The three-bedroom house (above) on a 538sq m block of land at 7 Taunton Place, Craigieburn has a price guide of $470,000 to $500,000.

“$470,000 to $500,000 is where similar properties have sold for in that pocket of Craigieburn so we’re anticipating activity somewhere there,” Ms Orrico said.

A 3pm auction of 2/85 Pine St, Reservoir (above) is expected to draw the attention of first-home buyers and downsizers.

“It’s the location and finding a unit of this size,” Ray White Preston’s Natalia Petrovska said of the property’s top attributes.

“The price guide is $520,000 to $570,000 with definite interest on the higher end.”

Under the hammer in Queensland…

Historic ‘Crendon’ (above) in Brisbane’s beautiful Sherwood is going to auction at midday on Saturday.

The classic colonial Queenslander on a rare double block at 9 Cormack St is beautifully presented.

“The current owners have spared no expense in the maintenance of this property,” Ray White Sherwood’s Lachlan Humble said.

“There’s a great blend of modern updates and traditional features including VJ walls, decorative cornices, and breezeways. A wonderful selling point is the location which is surrounded by shops, cafes, public transport options and top schools.”

On the other side of the city, at 33 Brokenwood Circuit, Gumdale is the 10.30am auction of a large double-storey modern family home (above).

“It’s a very secluded property on a large parcel of land close to shopping centres, transport and private schools,” Ray White Wynnum Manly’s Deanna Rudd said.

“The suburb of Gumdale is very popular at the moment as it offers larger land parcels and bigger homes. Even interstate buyers are interested as they start to look at relocating toward the beginning of next year.”

Not too far away in Hemmant is the midday auction of a lifestyle block (above) at 41 Youngs Rd.

Ray White Wynnum Manly’s Graeme Quinn said the 8094sq m property with a double-storey home had attracted interest from locals.

“It’s only around 25 minutes to Brisbane’s CBD, 15 minutes to the airport and five minutes to the bay,” he said.

“Over the last 12-18 months I’ve noticed a number of people wanting bigger blocks of land. I think this is more suited to somebody who has a couple of horses or wants to store a caravan or boat down the back.”

Ray White Toowong’s Julie Tancred is taking a gem of home (above) at 53 Goldsbrough Rd, Taringa to auction at 1pm.

“Positioned in the heart of Taringa, only 5kms from the CBD, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home sits on 407sq m and provides a fantastic opportunity to get into the Taringa property market,” Ms Tancred said.

Renovators are eyeing off 12 Oakland Ave, Woodridge (above) ahead of its 1.30pm auction.

“It’s a complete renovator inside and outside, a huge flip,” Ray White Marsden’s Rebecca Cuderman said of the Logan City home.

“It’s within walking distance to schools, the train station and shopping centre.”

North of Brisbane, between Caboolture and Woodford, is the 12.30pm auction of 40 Old North Rd, Wamuran (above).

“Anyone who’s driven to Splendour in the Grass or Woodford has been through Wamuran but doesn’t necessarily know we’ve got our own little town,“Ray White Wamuran’s Terry Ward said.

“It’s for those looking to get away from the rat race, wanting bigger blocks and to bring their kids up in a country-like environment.”

Held by the same owners since 1965, a Far North Queensland three-bedroom home (above) is going under the hammer at 11am.

Ray White Rural Innisfail’s John Moyle said the family was motivate to sell 14 Riley St, South Innisfail.

“It’s been beautifully maintained,” Mr Moyle said.

“Everybody comments on how neat it is, and first-home buyers, retirees and investors are all interested.”

And under the hammer in Perth…

Ray White Whiteman & Associates’ David Whiteman is taking 14 Ringmer Way, Westminster (above) to auction at 1pm local time.

“It’s about 12kms from town in an affordable market,” Mr Whiteman said.

“The mortgagee sale is attracting first-home buyers and investors.”
