FOR the first time in almost 100 years, a heritage property in North Parramatta is on the market and going to auction this Saturday.

“Jamberoo” at 22 Albert St is a restored Californian bungalow-style three-bedroom home, which was built in 1928 and named in honour of the suburb the original owner was born in.

Ray White Parramatta principal Steven Fan has scheduled the property (above) to go under the hammer at 2.15pm.

The original land grant was secured by the current seller’s grandmother for £59.

Mr Fan’s auction listing is one of 87 Ray White properties scheduled to go under the hammer across New South Wales this Saturday.

Victoria has recorded the highest volume of scheduled auctions, with 124 Ray White homes up for grabs across the state including a 703sq m property in the heart of Craigieburn.

Ray White Craigieburn’s Daniel Diamantopoulos said he’d received plenty of interest ahead of the 2pm auction of 40 Longtown Court.

“There’s nothing really for sale in this spot so close to schools, shops and transport,” Mr Diamantopoulos said.

“The price bracket is attractive to first-home buyers, investors and downsizers so it ticks a lot of boxes in terms of buyer demographic. The vendor wants it sold on the day.”

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home (above) has a price guide of $465,000 to $499,000.

In Berwick’s popular The Chase estate is the midday auction of 5 Atkinson Drive.

Ray White Berwick’s Andrew Nguyen said the contemporary four-bedroom, two-bathroom spec home (above) was built by the current owners.

“It’s a move-in ready home with great street appeal in an awesome neighbourhood and in a sought after Berwick estate,” Mr Nguyen said.

Mr Nguyen said young families had shown the most interest in the property, which has a price guide of $690,000 to $750,000.

A bargain buy at Warrnambool is up for auction at 11am.

The 700sq m property (above) at 34E Lava St has an indicative selling price of $260,000 to $286,000.

“The going rate for most properties on that street is around $400,000,” Ray White Warrnambool’s Fergus Torpy said.

“It just needs a little TLC as it was built around the 1940s/’50s.”

Twenty-five Ray White properties are expected to go to auction across Queensland this Saturday, including a beautiful Brisbane listing (above) managed by Ray White New Farm’s Christine Rudolph.

Two houses on one title with 25m park frontage at 11 Henry St, Kalinga are scheduled to go under the hammer at 11am.

“Twenty years ago, Jo Huybers found what was then a secret spot to build a dream home for her family of three active boys,” Ms Rudolph said.

“Jo engaged award-winning architect Harry Poulos to build not one but two homes across the 25-metre frontage to Kalinga Park. It truly feels more like living on a massive country estate with more than 70 acres of parkland, gum trees and wildlife right on the doorstep. We’ve had close to 100 groups through in three weeks and the home and position are blue chip in one of Brisbane’s most desirable suburbs.”

Families wanting to secure a position in the Kelvin Grove State College catchment are keen on 17 Ballina St, Kelvin Grove.

Ray White Ashgrove’s Tamara Lee is taking the 888sq m cul-de-sac Queenslander property (above) to auction at 9am.

“Buyers are looking to get into the primary and senior schools,” Ms Lee said.

“Most people want to get their kids in and know that’s where they’ll be for the next 13 years. What I love about Kelvin Grove is that it’s the hidden sister of Paddington but it has everything Paddington has to offer.”

North to Noosa where 5 Beckmans Rd, Tewantin is going under the hammer at 11am.

The renovated prestige acreage property (above) has six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a study, multiple living areas, a large entertainment deck, pool and an industrial-style shed with 3-phase power.

“This home is one of the most superior properties on the market in the Noosa Shire,” Ray White Noosa River’s Hayden Trask said.

“All within five minutes of town and 15 minutes of Hastings Street of Noosa Heads.”

Despite a short auction campaign due to next weekend’s AFL grand final, Ray White West Torrens principal Laurie Berlingeri has fielded an exciting level of interest on 8A Hounslow Ave, Mile End.

Less than five minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, the charming 1935 maisonette (above) has been fully renovated and will go to auction at 10am (ACST).

“We sold the property in its original glory and the new owner has gone through and completely renovated it,” Mr Berlingeri said.

“Mile End is a very up and coming suburb at the moment so the location is good, the renovation is very good and we’ve had good interest.”

Meantime, around 30 minutes outside of Perth, a rural escape is going to auction at 11am (AWST).

The sale of the 4.05ha property (above) at 47 Ashby St, Wanneroo is being managed by Ray White North Quays’ Dean Demos.

“It is first and foremost a lifestyle property but at the same time it’s not that far from the coast, CBD and anywhere else you need to go,” Mr Demos said.

“It’s a tree change as opposed to a sea change. It’s also a great opportunity to land bank, enjoy the lifestyle now and reap the rewards down the track. It really is a unique opportunity because large land lots in close proximity to the city are becoming rarer."
