THE volume of Ray White auctions scheduled to occur this Saturday has reached a new high for this financial year, with almost 300 of the group’s listings expected to go under the hammer on October 20.A rise in Saturday auction numbers this week is consistent with the upward trend in weekend auction volumes monitored since the start of this financial year.

Ray White data from that same period shows 6,165 auctions were scheduled, with an overall crowd attendance of more than 148,700 which is expected to eclipse 150,000 after this Saturday’s auction action.

‘Mundoo’, a grand 1935 Tudor home (above) in the Adelaide suburb of Kensington Park is available to the market at 11am local time.

The completely transformed 1,010sq m property at 29 Park Rd includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two carports, a three-car garage and off-street parking for up to ten cars.

“It’s been completely redone so it’s basically a brand new house,” Ray White Adelaide Group’s Perry Routley said.

“The owners took photos of all the ceilings and cornices and replicated them so everything was stripped back and redone.”

Mr Routley said the entire renovation was a labour of love.

“We’ve had great feedback and people who have come back three or four times just to look at all the details,” he said.

“It’s an amazing property and a spectacular home.”

On the beautiful Sunshine Coast is the 11am auction of a sprawling Queenslander-style home (above) at 16 Shady Grove, Tanawha.

The six-bedroom, four-bathroom acreage residence is less than a ten minute drive to the beach, and five minutes to Sunshine Coast Grammar School.

Ray White Buderim’s Lloyd Edwards said the auction of this property was a rare chance to secure a Queenslander on the Sunshine Coast that’s positioned so close to the ocean.

“There aren’t very many Queenslanders on the Sunshine Coast with this proximity to the beach,” he said.

“You get the Queenslanders in Maleny and Montville but very few elsewhere on the coast. What adds to that is the owners have poured care, time and quality workmanship into renovating the home without taking away its character.”

Interest has come from far and wide, with buyers in Sydney and Melbourne enquiring about the property.

An updated Sydney family home (above) with ocean views and plenty of potential is being taken to auction on Saturday morning by Ray White Woollahra’s Clay Brodie.

The 460sq m property at 27 Ireton St, Malabar is within easy reach of the beach, shops, schools and buses into the city.

“It’s a single-storey home with the ability to go up offering views to both the sea and city, so it’s quite elevated,” Mr Brodie said.

“We’ve got interest from families looking to move into an area which is creating a bit of a name for itself.”

A townhouse in Melbourne with body corporate fees of just $80 p.a. is on the market through Ray White Glen Waverley’s Marc Lum and going to auction at 1pm.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home (above) at 3/14 Anne Rd, Knoxfield was built only three years ago and presents as brand new with a price guide of $700,000 to $750,000.

“There are only three townhouses in the complex,” Mr Lum said.

“It’s in an up and coming suburb where the price range is still very reasonable.”

Also in Melbourne on Saturday is the auction of a renovated single-level unit at 2/15 Jason St, Oakleigh South which has had the same owner since it was built around 18 years ago.

“It’s one for first home buyers, downsizers and investors too,” Ray White Leigh Kelepouris said.

The indicative selling price on 2/15 Jason St, Oakleigh South is $690,000 to $759,000.

Meantime in Perth, Ray White Dalkeith|Claremont’s Vivien Yap is taking a three-bedroom riverside home (above) at 7/16 Cliff Way, Claremont to auction at midday.

“It’s a beautiful apartment with river views and you can walk to the beach,” Ms Yap said.

“We’re getting a lot of interest from downsizers, but also families looking for a base before they start to search for a larger house.”

The extremely low-maintenance home is set in a small complex with a title that runs right down to the high watermark, and a pretty 10m stretch of river beach is accessible from the clifftop.
