IT’S beginning to look a lot like Christmas on the auction front, as the volume of Ray White listings going under the hammer starts to decline ahead of the summer holiday break.

Despite a slight drop in weekend auction numbers across the country, Australasia’s largest real estate group is still preparing for more than 330 auctions this Saturday.

Around 160 Ray White auctions are scheduled across Victoria, followed by New South Wales (93) and Queensland (52).

In Perth, one of Peppermint Grove’s original and best riverside addresses at 58 View St is to be auctioned at midday for the first time in 13 years after an incredible makeover.

Ray White Cottesloe | Mosman Park owner and marketing agent Jody Fewster said the four-bedroom home (above) was a celebration of its grand history from the 1930s, yet stylish and functional with its modern design.

“This bungalow charm with tuck-pointed highlights, wide, sweeping verandas and sash windows known as Copley on View was purchased by its current owners in 2005 and shortly after, underwent a full renovation and rear three level extension addition under the design-expertise of the architect Lendis Golic,” Ms Fewster said.

“The result is an awe-inspiring, breathtaking residence that has been intentionally designed for effortless entertaining, supreme comfort, relaxed and easy living.

“With its enviable and iconic location between the river and the sea, this property provides a relaxed community lifestyle.”

Home owner Hilda Shroy said the family had lived in the house for the last seven and a half years after its immense renovation and the house has played host to many charity fundraisers, especially for the Girls from Oz and the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Ray White Gladstone Park’s Phillip Mercieca said the auction of 7 Peterborough Court, Attwood was one of the few opportunities this year for buyers to secure a property in the area.

“It’s a very tightly held estate within 15 minutes of the city,” Mr Mercieca said.

“Not many homes come up for sale, I’d say probably only four homes this year. People want to live in this estate and when good quality homes come up, they’re always hot property.”

Mr Mercieca has attached a price guide of $1 million to $1.1 million on the four-bedroom home, which was built on a large 755sq m block and comes with a solar-heated swimming pool and a choice of outdoor entertaining spaces.

Full of character, the renovated elevated house includes heating, timber flooring and a secure garaging.

“It’s an older home, built a good 40 years ago easily but it’s in a nice location and elevated on the street,” Ray White Mill Park’s Rocco Raco said.

“It’s been refurbished and renovated, and offers so many living areas with split-levels. Because it’s trendy people like it. It’s got a good floorplan and isn’t far from Bundoora Square Shopping Centre so it’s in a ripping little spot.”

“It’s also the kind of property a downsizer will love as well.”

“It sits in a nice price range where a lot of younger couples and first home buyers are looking,” Mr Karan said.

“The biggest selling point is that it’s turnkey and the next best thing is it has these really nice views as it’s set on a sloping block on the high side of the street.”

There’s a trio of bargain buys on offer in Sydney, each one with a price guide of under $410,000.
