Loretta Pearson and Kevin Boyle are selling their beloved Boat House property on the Hawkesbury river with Ray White Terrigal agent Colin Bernasconi and a price guide from $2.1million.

The stunning deep water four level Mansion sits on a double block, across approximately 1500 square metres on the picturesque Little Wobby Beach surrounded by National Park and is only accessible by short boat ride.

Close to the property purchased by Australian actor Cate Blanchett last year, The exclusive Patonga Beach fishing village and celebrity lunch hotspot Peats Bite - the Boat House boasts a unique and private location… From the closest port Brooklyn it’s only a 30 min drive to Wahroonga.

Often dubbed ‘a mini resort’ the vast property comprises six bedrooms, all with private ensuites and a two bedroom owners apartment, giving the next owners an opportunity to continue the tradition of running luxury accommodation stays.

The property includes a heated indoor pool and Finnish sauna, multiple balconies and a huge rooftop entertainment area covered in slate tile overlooking the stunning waterways of the lower Hawkesbury River that’s perfectly angled to soak up every magical sunset.

Co-owner Kevin Boyle said the Boat House was built in 1987, and he has been informed by previous owners that over 1.5 million bricks were used in the construction - not that he would like to count them all!

The property can potentially offer the next owners an income in excess of $200,000 per year with the price of weekend rentals between $2600 - $3600.

“The house is substantial, it is a property that pays its own way,” he said.

It has also featured twice on channel nine’s popular lifestyle show ‘Getaway’, Sydney Weekender and Geoff Janz’s, Sydney Fresh. Popular Getaway host Catriona Rowntree included the Boat House in her book Catriona's Australia: My Favourite Aussie Locations

Better yet the jetty rooftop was once rumoured to service the helicopter of Neville Wran who’d be choppered in for lunch - and that “huge” diamond ring apparently lost off it’s wharf? Has never been found. Another great reason (along with the fish) to throw a line in.

Selling agent Colin Bernasconi said the Boat House property is both unique and located in an amazing part of the world. “It’s proximity to Palm Beach on the Northern Beaches only adds to this properties appeal - whether running a boutique Hotel or simply running away, it’s only a fast boat away from another playground of the rich and famous”.

The pair own four holiday rental properties, with the Boat House described as the jewel in their crown. Unfortunately, they have decided to sell because they no longer have the time due to their latest acquisition, a tree change of sorts courtesy of purchasing the Thistle Hill Vineyard in Mudgee. Both adamant however they will miss the lifestyle the Boat House has to offer.

“The Boat House makes all your troubles just fall away, it is a calming and therapeutic retreat,” Loretta said. “You always wake up to lovely mornings and come back to quiet evenings. It is a wonderful destination surrounded by national park. It’s also really great for boat enthusiasts.”

Kevin added he hopes the next owner will love the property and care for it as much as he and Loretta have, “there is nothing like it for those who want to escape the city, or run a successful luxury stay business and mess about on boats while only being half an hour away from outer Sydney,” he said.

The pair are now looking forward to trading in their boats for horses, and take on the country life with one of Australia’s oldest certified organic vineyard.

The property will go to auction on 14th July.
