The four-bedroom three-bathroom property at 7 Myola Road, Newport in Sydney is being marketed by Ray White Northern Beaches agents Emma Blake and Sasha de Bilde with a price guide between $15.5 million to $17 million.

Owner Andrew Moore has lived at the home for six years and said it was known to locals as the ‘Copper House’, due to its distinctive architectural elements.

He said his wife Jo and two sons enjoyed the open-plan design and views from the property.

Mr Moore said the home was built by Bellevarde Constructions in 2006 and created using concrete, timber, glass, bronze and copper throughout.

He said the reported build cost was over $7 million when completed.

The home features Japanese-inspired gardens at the entry, with open-plan living spaces that connect via expansive glass sliding doors opening north and east to the beach.

Mr Moore said the beachfront deck with a hot tub was his favourite part of the home, which they use all the time.

The kitchen includes an island bench with Italian copper benchtops and a walk-in butler's pantry.

Additional spaces include a study, media room, and 1,000-bottle wine cellar.

Upstairs, three bedrooms feature custom built-ins and copper louvres.

The master suite faces the ocean with an ensuite and glass doors opening to beach views.

There is also a fourth double-bunk bedroom creating plenty of accommodation for the extended family.

Mr Moore said: “You can lie in bed and literally watch the surf at Newport peak”.

“It’s just beachfront living at its best,” he said.

"It's a house where people love to drop in. We've had many impromptu visitors and parties over the years."

Outside, there's a 23-metre hydronic heated lap pool, hot tub, outdoor shower, and built-in barbecue. The property has direct beach access.

The property previously rented for $50,000 over a 10-day Christmas period, Mr de Bilde said.

“Most surrounding homes are used as holiday houses,” he said.

"We've lived here as a family and it's been fantastic. This could suit a family, an older couple, or serve as a holiday home.”
