RAY WHITE Glen Waverley have knocked the ball out of the park with last night’s online auctions, selling five from seven properties under the hammer.

The highlight of the night was Glen Waverley Partner Marc Lum’s sale of 15A Ninevah Crescent, Wheelers Hill that went for $1.246 million after eight of 19 registered bidders battled it out for the four-bedroom home.

Mr Lum said the result came off the back of a strong campaign that saw 83 private inspections.

“The bidding opened at $850,000 and the property was called on the market at $1.1 million ending in a sale $146,000 above reserve,” Mr Lum said.

“The sellers are over the moon with the result and are excited to move on to their next adventure.”

Also on the auction block last night through the Glen Waverley team was 51 Larkspur Circuit, Glen Waverley that sold for $962,000 through Area Manager Alan Zhang.

The three-bedroom home at 3 Southampton Drive, Mulgrave went for $790,000 by Area Manager Rick Cheah and fellow Area Manager Darryl Wickham sold 1/52 Pepperell Ave, Glen Waverley for $1.66 million.

Ray White Glen Waverley Director Andrew Davies (pictured above) said despite time pressures, last night’s online auctions went off seamlessly, with serious buyers tuning in ready to bid.

“The vibe was excellent, it was like nothing had changed. It just goes to show that irrespective of current events there will always be buyers and sellers needing to transact in today’s market,” Mr Davies said.

The Glen Waverley Director also said the team had a clear strategy going forward.

“Our plan is to use the next six weeks to sharpen up on our skills and focus on relationships with people who are currently on the market,” he said.

“But most importantly we will be staying in contact with the people in our community and those in our client base.

“As we’ve seen in other states and New Zealand, the months that follow a harsh lockdown have been extremely active and we need to be spending our time today identifying those people coming to market once lockdown has finished.”
