When Sofie Rasmussen’s bike was stolen at the beginning of 2014, she was left without a means to get around. Good karma played its role, and today Sofie is the brand new owner of a yellow ‘Ray White’ bike.

Throughout September Ray White ran a competition in partnership with Comet - a navigation tool designed to maximise the potential of your career - and the winner took home a brand new yellow bike.

“I used my old bike to get to and from Uni and after it was stolen I couldn’t really afford to buy a new one.

“I saw the competition when I was walking past The Block Glasshouse open for inspection and fell in love with the bike straightaway.

“I created a profile with Comet and entered never really expecting to win, so it was a nice surprise to find out that I had won.”

A masters student from St Kilda and part-time food blogger, Sofie says the bike will be her new mode of transport.

“I’ve already starting riding it to Uni. I wanted to buy a matching yellow helmet but thought that might be a bit much!” she said.

Ray White Victoria CEO, Andrea McNaughton, says the partnership with Comet will extend past the bike competition.

“We’re exploring new pathways to communicate with young people looking at a career in real estate. Through Comet, we’re engaging with their online community and educating young people about the industry,” she said.

The team at Comet said the initial competition with Ray White was a huge success.

“We had more than 600 people join the Comet community and register their details to go in the running to win the bike - it was very popular and we hope Sofie enjoys her new bike!”
