Six-month renovation unveils Cashmere’s hidden gem

‘Shyennavale’ at 16 Clematis Court, Cashmere - a dual-living residence on 0.6 hectares bordering a state forest - will go under the hammer on February 14 at The Calile Hotel in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

The six-bedroom, three-bathroom property is being marketed by Ray White Collective agent Christine Rudolph.

Ms Rudolph said the property was built as a homage to classic character estates.

Current owner Caroline Hoole and her husband discovered the Moreton Bay property with the intention to renovate it while preserving its heritage elements.

The couple have worked seven days a week for six months to complete the transformation.

“We bought it to restore it to its former glory for ourselves but circumstances changed with family and it was too big for two of us,” Mrs Hoole said.

“It was a mess, it was run down. It was going to be a challenge.

“We loved the size and the character from the beginning.

“The end result has been worth every moment.”

Mrs Hoole said there is a seasonal creek at the back of the property.

"All the trees, the quiet - it's a beautiful spot immersed in nature.”

The renovation has been nothing short of extraordinary.
