IN A few months, Mike and Deirdre Carr’s youngest daughter will graduate high school - a milestone that has prompted them to list their West Pennant Hills property.

After setting their sights on the Northern Beaches, the couple have decided to put their 6 Doris Hirst Place home on the market through Ray White Castle Hill Agents Karl Anthony and Sara Perry. The property is set to go to auction on October 24 at 2:00pm.

The Northern Beaches seachange has always been on the cards for the West Pennant Hills sellers with Mr Carr saying he isn’t concerned about a potential real estate price crash.

“I don’t think there is going to be a massive market correction and even if there is we are still buying and selling during the correction,” Mr Carr said.

The amazing five bedroom house, designed and constructed by well-known developer Sam Kassis, is one of only a handful built by Kassis Classic Homes. The Sydney developer only builds one house each year and Mr Carr said it’s clear he puts all his creativity and love into each one.

“It’s very easy living and a high quality finish home,” Mr Carr said.

“I’ll miss the tranquility of the deck area and the infinity pool, the cabana and outdoor entertaining areas and the fantastic master bedroom and ensuite with a sunken bath that overlooks the trees.”

The massive study and spacious layout of the house have also come in handy for the Carr’s over the last six months as they work and learn from home.

“It has a wonderful study for people working from home in this day and age. It’s got all those features to work from home successfully,” Mr Carr said.

“If Deirdre and I work from home we have been able to work in the same office space without any problems.

“There is plenty of room and our family has been able to have our own space instead of living on top of each other, so from that perspective it’s been great.”

Since being listed, Mr Anthony and Ms Perry have already had a host of eager buyers through the home which was built only twelve years ago.

“We have had a great turnout at open for inspections and are averaging about three enquiries per hour,” Ms Perry said.

“The early signs have been encouraging in terms of buyer interest, both locally and further afield.”

Mr Anthony added the West Pennant Hills mansion has already had 43 inspections after just two open homes.

“Since listing, we have already had a huge influx of interested buyers,” Mr Anthony said.

“Most are coming from the wider suburbs of Sydney and normally with these types of houses buyers are looking for the best street in the area - something Doris Hirst Place represents.

“Overwhelmingly we are finding that buyers coming through are loving the privacy and bush outlook which is uncommon for these types of houses.”
