WINNERS: Ray White WA Head of Agency Operations Janelle Drew and Ray White WA Auction Coordinator Brooke Scarey with REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi at the REIWA Awards 2019.

The Ray White Western Australia network continues to improve and was recognised as the top franchise in the west by the state's real estate institute last weekend at the industry's awards presentation.

REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi said the prestigious event celebrated WA’s top performing agents and agencies in the 2018-19 year.

“On behalf of everyone at REIWA, I’d like to congratulate the winners and finalists of the 2019 reiwa.com Awards for their outstanding achievements in the 2018-19 financial year."

Australasia’s largest property group, Ray White proudly won the award Top Franchise and/or Marketing Group Listings Sold, and the Top Franchise and/or Marketing Group Value Sold for the third year in a row, underlining its commitment to continued improvement.

Ray White Western Australia CEO Mark Whiteman said he was pleased to see the group continue to improve.

"We have been committed to improving as a group and this is a small indicator that (so far) our results are reflecting that commitment," Mr Whiteman said.

"This is also a great reflection on the work of our members, this is very much the member's award, we are really proud of all our members.”

In the blue ribbon category, top agent Vivien Yap has once again been named by the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia as running the Top Team by Value Sold for 2019.

Recognised as one of Australia’s top agents, Ms Yap’s work ethic, enthusiasm, and professionalism makes her one of the most trusted and sought after agents in Perth.

“We are only a small team but we work very hard and never stop working for our vendors. I am so proud of my team. We are working in a competitive market place which means going above and beyond to get successful outcomes for our sellers,” said Ms Yap who owns Ray White Dalkeith | Claremont.

“There’s no double digit growth in today’s market but we are fortunate in Dalkeith and Claremont that we are in a catchment area that is so close to very good schools, great hospitals, the University of Western Australia and we are within easy access to the city.

“Vendors are keeping a watchful eye on the market, buyers are responsive. When they see something they want, they will move and that’s why we favour auction campaigns as they cement people’s intentions.

“It’s a great time to be buying as the market is very stable, however it is very specific to the type of property."

WINNER: Andrew Huggins of Ray White Urban Springs with sales associate Danielle McCulloch with Neville Pozzi of REIWA.

In other awards, Andrew Huggins of Ray White Urban Springs took home the Top Salesperson by Auction Listings Sold award for the third year in a row with his office also winning the Top Office by Auction Listings Sold for the first time.

“I love auctions, and they have been good for us as a business. They are the best method of sale as they are very transparent and the buyers like it as they see their competition and the owners like them too. We hold auctions every fortnight at Ray White WA Corporate in-rooms and it allows us to structure our week and follow the process,” Mr Huggins said.

Mr Huggins, who has been in business with his partner Amy for the last 10 years, said that the awards topped off a great year with the pair marrying earlier this year.

Mr Whiteman praised all of the company's award winners on the night and said the future in WA was very bright for the national network.

"We are very fortunate with the people we have in the group, which these awards reflected, but what we are most pleased about is their focus on getting better and improving."

"There is no finish line in this business, we believe our best is yet to come."
