LAST night, several hundred guests nationwide logged in over Zoom to celebrate the annual Ray White Rural and Livestock awards to recognise the achievements of the top offices and individuals throughout the leading network.

Ray White Rural and Livestock Managing Director Stephen Nell (pictured above) said unfortunately this year's awards night was not in person as everyone had hoped it to be, but it was still important to recognise those people who have achieved amazing success in the last year.

“I always refer back to an old saying, 'please god send me another strong market and I promise I won’t waste it.' This is the thing that I am most proud of over the past year - clearly almost all of you are not wasting this amazing marketplace we find ourselves in,” Mr Nell said.

“Rural property and livestock sales are at levels that none of us have ever seen before. What is absolutely apparent to me now is that the Ray White Rural and Livestock business is not only better, but the pace is quicker.“Our position as a group has moved forward significantly in market share with innovation and technology playing their roles - especially during the changing environment we have had to navigate.“Our knowledge as a company has grown. It’s evident to me that our future needs to be a combination of not just success but reputation and it’s clear that our reputation at the moment is exemplary.”The Top Selling Principal and No. 1 New South Wales Rural Principal for the 2020-21 year was Brian McAneney of Ray White Dubbo, followed by Rural Dayboro Principal Vicki Pain and then Rural Emerald Principal Mark Muldrew.

Ray White Rural Emms Mooney were announced as the Top Rural Office: Settled Commission of the Year for another year, followed by Rural Queensland, Rural Parkes | Forbes | Condobolin, Emerald and Rural Ballarat. Rural Emms Mooney also won the Top Livestock Office: Settled Commission.

Ray White Rural Emms Mooney were again in the spotlight with agent Sam D’Arcy awarded the Top Salesperson Award for settled commission, followed by Kim Watts of Rural Parkes | Forbes | Condobolin, Rural Canberra | Yass’ George Southwell, Jackie Cowley of Rural Albany and Josh Keefe also of Rural Emms Mooney. The Outstanding Contribution Award went to Ray White Tenterfield’s Prue Birch, and the Charlie Maher Award went to Timothy O’Dwyer of Rural Livestock Dalby for his characteristics and attributes that align to the late Mr Maher’s values.Mr Nell said of Ms Birch’s award that it was something you do not win, you receive.“This award is in recognition of loyalty, tenure and trust, as well as results,” Mr Nell said.“Tonight’s recipient has had a fierce commitment to ensuring that all of our members have had access to tools and resources to ensure they are running a better business.“Potentially living in the shadow of their partner, and once I make the announcement of the winner, you will all understand what I’m referring to.“I would not like to over simplify it. I do not believe our organisation would be in the same position that it is today without our award winner’s efforts over the past decade.“Personally, I am indebted as I know Paul White is and I’m sure many of you are too and I hope this award tonight goes in some way to recognising Ms Birch's contribution.”Meanwhile, Ray White Rural Canberra | Yass agent George Southwell won the Excellence in Auction - Individual award for another year and Ray White Rural Emms Mooney took out the Excellence in Auction award for an office.Client’s Choice awards were given to Geoff Trost of Rural Crows Nest, Caley Mok of Rural Emms Mooney, Mellisa Meli of Rural Tumbarumba, Rural Gloucester’s Kristy Markham and Rural Esk principal Wayne Jaenke.Chanel Wyatt of Rural Atherton, Libby Talbot at Rural Drouin and Emily Haywood of Ray White Rural Warwick were awarded the Sales Assistant of the Year award, while Sally Hughes of Rural Bungendore | Cooma and Savahna Adams from Rural Gympie were named as the Administrators of the Year.Ray White Blackall, Ray White Rural Tenterfield and Ray White Tumut | Gundagai were all awarded the Community Contribution Award for 2020-21.
