RAY White Queensland has welcomed in the ‘new normal’ of private auctions with success on the Gold Coast last night as four properties sold under the hammer for a combined $1,820,000.

Ray White Queensland Chief Auctioneer Mitch Peereboom (pictured above) praised the whole team for bringing the future into the present in such a short space of time.

“Ray White has always been built on innovation and being industry leaders in the auction space and this is just the latest example of how we can still deliver the high-quality service our clients deserve,” Mr Peereboom said.

“The fact is, we’ve had online platforms at our disposal for a while now, and the current climate has given us an opportunity to really be at the forefront of this technological change.

“We sold four from nine under the hammer but had 14 registered bidders across those nine lots - so what that tells us is that 10 underbidders missed out - meaning there are plenty of buyers out there who are finance-ready and in a position to buy right now.

“This is a new world, but it’s one we’re embracing with enthusiasm, and there’s no doubt that auction is the best method of sale no matter what the climate is at the time.”

"I'm a firm believer in the auction process and it's still a method I'll continue to advocate to my vendors as I believe it generates the best price for them in any market," said Ray White Broadbeach Sales and Marketing Consultant Jared Malan, who successfully sold 37 Imelda Way (pictured above) in Pimpama, for $345,000.

"I was more than happy to move the auction to a digital set-up because motivated buyers and sellers will still want to transact no matter what the climate is.

"The whole team did a great job in making it feel like a process we'd carried out for years and our clearance rate was similar to if we'd carried out a normal 'live' process."

The biggest deal of the night belonged to Ray White Robina Sales Agent Jon Paul, who successfully orchestrated the $660,000 sale of 24 Lakefront Crescent, in Varsity Lakes.

Mr Paul also managed the $335,000 sale of 181/33 Lakefront Crescent in Varsity Lakes and Tash Santos of Ray White Mermaid Beach successfully sold 1/35 Ventura Road for $480,000 to round off the night.
