AS part of Ray White Group’s Together Wellbeing Initiative, 115 members of its corporate team enthusiastically embarked on a fitness challenge, Fit for Floods.
It is ingrained in the fundamental values of the Ray White Group to support charities and give back to its communities. The group chose to raise much needed funds for those affected by the New South Wales and Queensland floods, donating $10,000 to Rotary Australia’s National Flood Appeal. For the month of April, Ray White, supported by Bondi based personal training team, Strength in Motion, surpassed its goal by cycling, running, swimming and walking an astonishing 11,149km, equivalent to three times from Sydney to Perth, triggering the $10,000 donation.Throughout the pandemic, Ray White supported their people to keep fit and focus on all aspects of wellbeing through a variety of fitness challenges. Fit for Floods was the fourth challenge facilitated by Strength in Motion. It was initiated by Samantha White, Project Head - Together Initiative and Ray White Head of Strategy, Mark McLeod and Ray White Wellbeing Advocates, the Together Champions.“Early on in the pandemic, we implemented a set of initiatives to help and support our people through online communities, fitness challenges, online mental health first aid courses, access to fitness apps and much more,” Mrs White said.

“We formalised our corporate wellbeing and launched Together, a Ray White Wellbeing Initiative. The objective is to protect, support and promote the mental health and wellbeing of all our employees.“As a resource, Together provides a comprehensive resource platform for our people, integrating communities, allowing them to collaborate and connect with each other to thrive individually and make a difference to our communities. In addition, it gives them access to mental health support services.“Our fitness challenges focus on the personal physical health of our people and it promotes our social connectedness across our six corporate offices, across Australia and New Zealand. With travel restrictions, lockdowns and state lockouts it was paramount to keep our people connected. Fit for Floods enabled all of us to engage, keep fit and give back to those in need. It’s a ‘triple’ feel good!“We chose Rotary’s National Flood Appeal as we have been humbled by the stoicism of our members and their communities that were devastated by the recent floods in Queensland and New South Wales.“In particular, the determination of our Lismore team to rebuild its office while continuing to support each other and the community has been so inspiring.”
