(Ray White auctioneer James Kerley calling the 27 Ferguson Ave, Castle Hill auction.)

RAY WHITE Castle Hill, one of Sydney’s leading auction offices is leading the way in today’s virtual real estate world. The office has worked tirelessly to take their second to none auction expertise to the digital space. A move that has resulted in some outstanding sales and plenty of happy buyers and sellers.

On Wednesday night, Castle Hill embarked on their second lot of online auctions that were streamed live through the office’s website. With six properties up for grabs, bidding was fierce and buyer sentiment strong especially for the first cab off the rank, 27 Ferguson Ave, Castle Hill (pictured below).

The three bedroom house was hotly contested with bidding starting at $900,000 and after 34 bids later sold for above reserve at $1,132,500. Ray White Castle Hill sales agent Joel Simpson said the result was fantastic with eight registered bidders all of whom were active and very competitive.

“It sold to a beautiful young family who were renting in Castle Hill, the property is a great entry level home in the area and they got it,” Mr Simpson said.

“Everyone is really happy, we judged the success on the smiles of the buyers and sellers even though they were digital smiles.

“The seller had owned the house for over 43 years and she was in tears and very happy, especially knowing a lovely young family had bought the property.”

Winning bidder Edmond Kasparian wasn’t sure what to expect in the new digital world of online auctions after spending the past year searching for his family’s dream home.

“The property is definitely what we were after and I guess when they said it was sold it all felt a bit weird, it wasn’t bad but definitely new and different,” Mr Kasparian said.

Auctioneer James Kerley was the brainchild behind much of the auction display including the green screen imagery that sets the Ray White Castle Hill online auction offering far above the rest.

“The greenscreen integration into the platforms looks fantastic. We’ve worked hard and are constantly trying to improve on what we have to offer,” Mr Kerley said.

“I think the combination of having some media value and nice aesthetics for those watching at home is great and having that production value rather than a cold interface is something we’re really proud of.

“We are humanising the technology while still retaining the Ray White processes that have been so successful for the past 118 years. We’re very cognisant that buying a home is a stressful process so we’re trying to make it safe, enjoyable and comfortable.”

Ray White Castle Hill sales agent Sam Shamal also had a win with 8 Barrawarn Place, Castle Hill which sold for $1.325 million after some competitive bidding and not to be outdone was agent Craig Robinson’s 3 Barry Place, Cherrybrook that went under the hammer for $1.52 million.
