Across three major January auction showcases, The Event, the Gold Coast Auction Experience, and Alfresco Auctions, Ray White offices achieved more than $256 million in combined sales, underscoring the depth of demand across the region.

Ray White Queensland COO and auctioneer Gavin Croft said the results demonstrated the ongoing strength of the Gold Coast market, particularly under competitive auction conditions.

“What we’ve seen throughout January is a highly engaged buyer pool that is willing to compete strongly for quality property,” Mr Croft said.

“The energy at each of these events was exceptional, and the results reflect just how effective the auction process continues to be in driving premium outcomes for our sellers.”

The Event, led by Ray White Bell Group, Ray White Alliance and Ray White Sanctuary Cove, was a standout, with 101 properties taken to auction and an impressive 84 per cent clearance rate.

The Event generated a record-breaking $105 million in sales, with the top result a $13 million sale prior to auction for 5719 Anchorage Terrace, Sanctuary Cove, marketed by Ray White Sanctuary Cove agent Matt Gates.

Competition was fierce across the event, with 1/14–16 Bright Avenue, Labrador attracting 12 registered bidders, five of whom actively competed to drive a final sale price of $820,000.

The Gold Coast Auction Experience, hosted by Ray White Malan + Co, Ray White Robina, Ray White TMG, Ray White Surfers Paradise and Ray White Advantage delivered more than $114 million in total sales with a 60 per cent clearance rate.

The day’s top result was 106 Seagull Avenue, Mermaid Beach, which sold for $4.4 million, after being marketed by Ray White Malan + Co agents Daniel Donovan and Conner Malan.

Bidder engagement peaked with an estimated 425 bidders participating across the event.

Meanwhile, Alfresco Auctions, run by Ray White Main Beach and RWC Pacific Group, saw 15 of 18 properties sold, generating $37.4 million in total sales.

The top-priced auction was 5/48 Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains, which sold for $12.1 million, while 40 Dawn Parade, Miami drew the highest bidder interest with 28 registered bidders, selling for $1.6 million.

Ray White Main Beach principal Michael Willems said the Alfresco Auction format created an atmosphere that translated directly into strong results.

“We’ve kicked off 2026 on a high note, with our first Alfresco Auction of the year delivering outstanding results and an electric atmosphere,” Mr Willems said.

“The strong turnout and competitive bidding highlighted continued buyer confidence and set a very positive tone for the year ahead.”

Mr Croft said the January results had set a strong benchmark for the months ahead.

“These events show that when you combine scale, strategy and the right auction environment, buyers respond,” he said.

“It’s a powerful way to launch the year.”
