The property at 84 Fernwick Street goes under the hammer on 26 July and is being marketed by Ray White Bankstown agent Joshua Nassif.

“This is a statement home,” Mr Nassif said.

“From the moment you arrive, the front facade is a true architectural showpiece - wrapped in curved concrete, with sandstone retaining walls and cladding.

“On the very top floor there is a private executive office, complete with lift access and a balcony capturing arguably the best views in the district.”

Owner Terry Nachabe and his wife have lived at the property since 2008 and said it was time to downsize, with six of their seven children having grown up and moved out of the home.

Mr Nachabe, a tradesman, said no short cuts had been taken in the design and build of the striking property.

“I love everything about this property, there is nothing not to love. I know every corner and designed the whole lot myself," he said.

“I travelled around the world and brought back about eight features I had seen in high end properties around the world, including Cyprus.

“I wanted my house to be built before its time - and it’s very modern.”

Mr Nachabe said the biggest feature in the house was a 9.8 meter crystal chandelier he had designed in China and shipped back to Australia.

“I had to crane in a 10-seater dining table made out of travertine, as well as the marble chairs, and the massive dolphin statue outside,” he said.

Mr Nachabe comes from a family of 10 and said being the eldest child he had spent most of his life living in rental properties.

“During our childhood my siblings and I changed schools a number of times and we hated it, we had to make new friends and adapt to new teachers,” he said.

“I made a commitment to myself that if I ever got married all our kids would go to the same school, grow up together, and be in the same house until they were old enough to get married and move on.

“God blessed us with that, and now it’s time to give this home to another family to create more memories.

The home also features a swimming pool, gym (with equipment to be sold with the property), a sauna and steam room.

There are two fish tanks (saltwater and freshwater), operated by a filtration system in the basement.

With plenty of entertainment to be enjoyed around the home including a fully home automated and entertainment system, and a newly built barbecue area, Mr Nachabe hopes another big or multi-generational family will be ready to move in.
