THE perfect modern, resort-style family home in Dalkeith has hit the market, offering buyers the opportunity to call this pool-side paradise their own.

Marketing agent and Ray White Cottesloe | Mosman Park director Jody Fewster has listed the high-end home at 135 Circe Circle, Dalkeith with offers being taken in the high $7 millions until February 28.

The seller, well-known luxury home developer Paul Blackburne had the home designed and built after searching the market for years and being unable to find anything ready to buy that was as high-end and well located as 135 Circe Circle.

“We decided to build, which was a three to four year task and a lot of work, but we were able to create a modern family home on a very large block that ticked all the boxes for true luxury, resort-style living,” the property developer said.

“We hunted Western Australia for the best interior designers and architects and the award winning Hillam had the modern high-end look that is so rare in the state. We created the home in conjunction with the best interior designers and luxury architects in Western Australia.

“Our design brief to the architect was to create a warm, natural, modern family home that allowed privacy when needed, however, encouraged interaction and family living. We also wanted a family home that felt more like living in a resort.

“We have loved raising our children here. They had lots of space indoors as well as outdoors.”With all the resort features incorporated into the house, Mr Blackburne said coming home after work was like going on holiday.“I can instantly relax, get in the spa, sauna or swim and play with the children,” he said.“My wife works from home and having two offices has been a real plus. I also often work from home so I created a large study with a private courtyard to work outside or have meetings under the trees whenever I can.

“The pool area ended up becoming almost a home in itself. We made sure the cabana area had everything we needed so we could use it any time and not need to go inside to get things when entertaining.“Our favourite times have been entertaining. People love visiting as it's like walking into a luxury, modern resort. The memories we have with friends and family here will last forever.”Every detail of the landscaping was methodically planned to give the home a feel as close to nature as possible. With six bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, two studies, four car bays including three undercover and plenty of parking outside, Mr Blackburne also invested heavily in ensuring the home was easy to manage.

“We invested in all the best AV and home automation and climate control to ensure we could control everything from our phones if we wanted,” he said.

“We also invested in a state of the art security system and cameras which give us peace of mind, especially when away.“We designed a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor heating, built-in fans and TV and AV equipment so you can spend all day and night there if you want.”

Being such a large home, he was very conscious of its environmental impact and prioritised energy efficient features.

“While there are gas boosters if needed, the pool is heated mostly by solar,” Mr Blackburne said.

“With so many power hungry modern functions in the home we also wanted to ensure we had the best solar power available to ensure we limited power consumption wherever possible.

“Given the backyard faces north and east, we wanted to maximise natural light and sun. During sunny days outside of summer, the home gets a lot of natural light which helps keep the place warm and welcoming.”
