Owner Paul Chalubek, a local teacher, along with his family including teenage children James and Lila, and their beloved pets – Poodle Pearl, cat Kevin, and rabbit Willow – have called this architectural marvel home for over a year.
"The build process could not have gone any smoother for us," said Mr Chalubek. "Our builders Marc & Co were amazing to work with every step of the way. They were always available to answer any of our questions and consulted with us on every detail."
The custom-built home was completed in just 10 months, a testament to Marc & Co's efficient project management approach of maintaining only a select number of projects simultaneously.
"The dream for us for some time has been to build a high quality home on the waterfront in West Lakes," Mr Chalubek said. "We wanted to make sure there was ample space for the kids. With the primary bedroom being upstairs we also planned for a lift provision in the home which can be easily installed when the time comes, making it a home you can live in forever."
The home's innovative design caters to modern family living with thoughtful inclusions. The downstairs bedroom has been transformed into a home gym with rubber mat flooring, while a spacious theatre room features surround sound wiring and block-out blinds. Advanced technology integration includes Wi-Fi routers and ethernet wiring throughout, plus hard-wired cameras and security systems for peace of mind.
"We are an active family, so the home gym was essential," said Mr Chalubek. "We also love spending time together watching movies, so the theatre room was a must-have feature."
The Chalubek family's connection to West Lakes runs deep, with Paul and his wife residing in the area for nearly four decades. "We love the outlook the lake provides and watching the lake traffic flow by with rowers and dragon boats passing by regularly," he said. "We love kayaking and paddle boarding as often as we can. The proximity to shops, parks and the beach is also a drawcard of living in the area."
