Iconic boatshed for charity

Ash Weston of Ray White Frankston is once again helping to raise money for the local community through auctioning a boatshed on the Frankston foreshore.
The third and final bathing box to be auctioned, Frankston City Council and Rotary Club of Frankston Sunrise have already raised just shy of $230,000 for the community through selling two other boatsheds over the past 3 years.
Partnering with Rotary of Frankston Sunrise, Ash will donate all proceeds of this newest sale.
“I don’t take a commission. These boatsheds are iconic to the Frankston community and it’s only fair the community reaps the full benefits of the sale,” he said.
With the past two sales achieving $115,000 and $114,500 respectively, Ash is hopeful this auction will raise even more.
“The only restriction on the sale is the buyer has to be a Frankston rate payer, but with the area being such a holiday destination there are property owners from all over the country here. I’m confident of a sale under the hammer,” he said.
Not limiting the community involvement to the auction proceeds, Ash has also organised a family fun day to be held on the Frankston foreshore on the day of the auction.
“We’ll have face-painting, a sausage sizzle and plenty of fun and games on the day. In the lead up to the main event, I’ll also auction off some smaller items from our sponsors at Anaconda to add to our pool of community funds,” Ash explained.
Rotary member, Shane Thomas said Ash and the team are to be commended for their community involvement and spirit.
Ash Weston from Ray White Frankston has been a regular supporter of the RCoFS (Rotary) and has donated his time to regularly to assist us with our community service programs- including our Charity Golf Day and the Boatshed auctions.
Ash and the company have donated their time and expertise to all three boatsheds that the RCoFS has built raising some $300,000 for the local community. Their promotion ,marketing and expert sales team has meant we have optimized our market returns for the maximum injection into the community fund.
A passionate member of the community, Ash helped paint the boatshed himself as they prepared it for sale. The auction is being held on Sunday, 25 September, and residents of Frankston are invited to come down from 11.30am to join in the community event.
