Everybody knows that the first impression is the one that counts the most, so if you’re looking to list your property for sale then it’s important to make sure it looks its best.

However, if you have already moved out of your property, or if you are selling a brand new piece of real estate, then your house may be sitting empty.

While the property being vacant can be good news for prospective buyers looking to make a quick purchase, it may not do the house’s image any favours!

Huge empty spaces don’t always paint such an inviting picture, and leaving rooms bare can accentuate some of the flaws that the property has. Things like scratches on walls or floor can be that much more visible without having furniture to draw the attention away.

If you’re going to sell your house while it’s vacant then you may want to consider the following tips:

Stage furniture

Staging furniture is a great option for those who have already moved into their new home, or for property developers who sell multiple properties at once.

This is especially important in the early days of listing your property, as that is when photos and advertising materials are usually created.

There are many furniture staging companies out there, and by employing their services you can get a design that suits your home. Doing this will also allow you to find a nice decor to accentuate your home’s features.

Filling your home for sale with staged furniture will also reduce echoing inside the property, which is important if your house is in a noisy area.

Improve the exterior

The exterior of your property is the first thing that buyers will see upon inspection, so it’s important to make sure that everything is neat, tidy, and ship-shape.

You may want to consider giving your home kerb appeal by cleaning up the lawns and gardens or perhaps painting the house with a fresh new colour.
