Set across a 810sqm block, the property at 6-8 Dickson Terrace is on two lots with a 20-metre frontage with dual street access.

Ray White Ascot director Damon Warat is marketing the property and said the site offers a rare blank canvas and unmissable chance to create a landmark luxury residence or pursue redevelopment (STCA).

The block of land is being sold via best offers closing by 10 December at 2pm.

“What makes this property special is it is the best building block available on top of Hamilton Hill with Brisbane's best views and surrounded by some of the best homes in Brisbane,” Mr Warat said.

When Mrs Lorenti first saw the block all those years ago she knew it was a definite “yes”.

“I knew we needed to build a beautiful home on this," said Mrs Lorenti, who first discovered the property during her regular walking route through the neighbourhood in 2012,” she said.

“"It became part of my walking path. It was very hilly, which gave me a good workout, and we'd walk past it all the time."

The couple, who built and ran Clayfield Markets Fresh for 29 years before selling to Harris Farm, purchased the vacant block as a mortgagee sale - recognising both the incredible opportunity and the breathtaking potential.

Positioned high on Hamilton Hill, the property offers panoramic views that shift dramatically throughout the day.

"There’s the night view with all the lights, during the day it's the city and river - there's lots of action and lots to look at," Mrs Lorenti said.

With two young boys and an all-consuming family business at the time, the Lorentis held onto their dream for more than a decade.

“Life, as it often does, got in the way of building plans,” she said.

“Now that our sons have grown up, we are shifting toward downsizing rather than building large, and we are ready to pass this extraordinary canvas to someone else.

"This could be someone's dream home.

“It's subdivided, so two homes can be built on it.”
