ALBURY real estate expert Andrea Lever (pictured above) and business pro Maree Cables have stepped up as the new owners of Ray White Albury.

The pair have taken over from Ray White Albury business owner and Ms Lever’s mother Sharon Jacka, who will be staying on in a sales position.

Between the two, they are bringing decades of business experience to the Ray White Albury team while Ms Lever also has more than ten years of real estate experience.

Ms Lever entered the family business in 2008 and was tasked with growing the office’s rent roll. Over the past decade, she has successfully expanded the property management side of the business which now has 600 properties on its rent roll.

The new director also has extensive sales experience after transitioning to sales three years ago. Throughout this time, Ms Lever became the first regional female salesperson to receive the Ray White Rising Star award in 2017.

Fellow director Ms Cable (pictured below), already a successful franchise owner, is well-known in the community including as the former chair of Arts Albury. The committee was instrumental in raising money for the Murray Arts Museum Albury.

The new business owners said their focus for the office will be around creating a great culture and offering second to none customer service.

“It’s all about the customer experience for us, that's always been our number one goal,” Ms Lever said.

“But we also want the local community to know that while we are new faces with fresh ideas, we will still offer the same five star service everyone has come to expect from Ray White Albury.”

Ms Lever said her family has been with Ray White for decades and she is excited to continue with the leading agency.

“Ray White has a true family culture to it which I love. The support we get is incredible and there is a reason we are number one nationally,” Ms Lever said.

“We are both really proud to go out to a listing presentation and sell ourselves as Ray White.”

The Albury team have seen significant growth over the past year with the pair saying that COVID has tipped the property market in Albury upside down.

“It’s been completely different, we’ve had more buyers than sellers and have just been trying to get more listings. The market is incredibly competitive at the moment,” Ms Lever said.

“We’ve had a lot of city buyers coming for a lifestyle change. They come for a holiday and realise the prices here are reasonable and decide to make the change.”

Former Ray White Albury owner, Ms Jacka (pictured above) said she couldn't be leaving the business in better hands.

"I have owned this business for 13 years and been with Ray White for 18 years so the group is huge to me," Ms Jacka said.

"I have always respected the strong family values fostered within Ray White and have created my business in Albury in the same vein.

"I'm now happy to be in the background wherever Andrea and Maree need me and passing it on to my daughter fills me with pride. I have no doubt they will carry on my legacy successfully."

Ray White Victoria and Tasmania CEO Stephen Dullens said he is looking forward to supporting Ms Lever and Ms Cables as the new business owners of Ray White Albury.

“With Ray White being a fourth generation family owned and led business, it is particularly pleasing when another generation becomes involved in ownership of an existing family business. I am thrilled to welcome Andrea and Maree as new Ray White business owners,” Mr Dullens said.

“I have no doubt Maree, Andrea and their team will continue to offer the same excellent service that current business owner Sharon is so well known for in the Albury community. We look forward to supporting them however we can.”
