The significant portfolio move comes as Mr Lyons makes a move abroad for travel and work opportunities.

The dual sale represents more than $6 million in combined property value and marks a new chapter for the colourful entrepreneur, who rose to international fame as a 1990s paparazzo with a signature pink mohawk.

The four-bedroom property at 16 Rankin Street, Newell is being marketed by Ray White Port Douglas selling principal Mark Flinn with a price guide of $2,500,000 plus.

“You don't hold a property like this unless it continually gives something back to you,” Mr Lyons, also known as Mr Paparazzi, said.

“This hasn't just been ownership; it's been a long-term love affair.”

The home features bold architectural design enhanced by striking gorilla sculptures - a nod to Mr Lyons' former art business ownership.

“The gorillas are powerful, grounded, and protective, much like the home itself,” he said.

Now based largely abroad, Mr Lyons has made the decision to sell.

“The world simply falls away when you arrive here. Any stress disappears the second you enter,” he said.

“I do sometimes wonder why I'm selling - but this home deserves someone who can truly inhabit it.”

Mr Lyons described his first encounter with the property as “spiritual, instant and undeniable”.

“It's a luxurious observation home for the natural world,” he said.

“Every space is designed to frame what's outside - the ocean, the rainforest, the sky, the light.

“You don't live beside nature here, you live inside it.”

Mr Lyons said the property had been his escape from the world.

“It's not just a home, it's a once-in-a-lifetime way of living, and I've lived the dream with this home,” he said.

“How many properties can you walk down your back garden and step onto a private seven-mile beach?

“You have the ocean as your backyard and rainforest as your front yard.

“Newell Beach is not just a home - it’s a once-in-a-lifetime way of living and I’ve lived the dream with this home.”

The property is less than 15 minutes to Port Douglas.

Complementing the tropical sale is Mr Lyons' two-bedroom apartment on the 15th floor of the renowned Harry Seidler-designed Horizon Building - one of Sydney's most architecturally significant addresses.

Purchased off-the-plan in 1998, the north-east corner apartment has been transformed into what the listing describes as “a masterpiece of design and art” – complete with Lyons' signature pink aesthetic.

The apartment enjoys stunning panoramic views spanning the CBD and Harbour Bridge to the Opera House and Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf.
