Developer snaps up Kudla acreage for $5.6M in 511-bid auction battle
A property in North Adelaide has sold under the hammer for more than $5.6 million - attracting more than 511 bids.
Mr Pratt said there had been a lot of interest in the lead up to the auction.
In a two to three week period, he received 87 inquiries about the property, owned by two friends from Adelaide.
“You could see the power of an online auction today,” Mr Pratt said.
“Bidding started slowly, we had nine registered bidders and all nine were bidding.
“Even when we got close to the reserve price one of the bidders did $500 bids. We had one bidder do a $25,000 bid and then another would do $25,500, another did a $50,000 bid and another $100,000 bid, it was really interesting and there was a lot of engagement!
“At one stage we had a bidder on the phone and they jumped in an elevator but they could keep bidding as they were online and in the end were the successful purchaser.”
Mr Pratt said the owners were two friends from Adelaide who bought the property together and watched the online auction unfold, and were very happy with the outcome.
