(Happy Sydney auction buyers from last weekend.)

THE PAST weekend may have been a record for auction volume but for Ray White, this weekend is set to be almost as busy.

Last Saturday, Ray White scheduled 506 auctions while this coming Saturday there will be another 480 booked across the country - 55 per cent more than the same time last year.

Ray White in Sydney has the most auctions scheduled for Saturday with 158. Ray White Melbourne follows with 138 auctions booked. Ray White Adelaide has 43 auctions scheduled and Ray White Brisbane another 33.

Interstate buyer interest continues to be strong for Queensland, where last weekend 25 per cent of all auctions sold were to interstate buyers. While nationally, 7.2 per cent of all Ray White auctions sold to interstate buyers.

Throughout November, sellers who took their properties all the way to auction were also rewarded, making on average almost 12 per cent more than if they had sold prior. In Sydney, that number was 11.44 per cent and Melbourne auctions came in at 11.60 per cent more on average. Auctioned properties in Brisbane made an extra 11.39 per cent and Adelaide recorded the most with 12.65 per cent more on average.
