Despite the negative speculation, Australasia's leading real estate group is still seeing outstanding results, with the $1,358,000 sale of 23 Osborn Avenue in South Australia's Beulah Park the lastest example.

Thirteen registered bidders battled it out, with the property selling $58,000 over the reserve, and buyer Paige Pham (pictured above right with husband Tom Nguyen) said she was over the moon.

“My husband Tom and I are so relieved and happy that it’s over - we’ve only been looking for a property for a month as we sold in August - so we’re delighted,” Ms Pham.

“COVID-19 was not an issue for us at all and we had a huge amount of confidence in the market. We don’t believe the Adelaide market has slowed down at all - we sold fine last month - so we had no problem buying now at all.

“It’s the first time we’ve ever attended an auction and we were pretty comfortable with the environment. Of course, there is an element of the unknown, and we knew we had some competition, but my advice is if you love property then just go for it.

“We have three young children and we love the neighbourhood, the good-sized block, and the fact it’s close to the schools and amenities. We plan on staying here for the next 20-30 years.”

Ray White Norwood Sales Executive Brandon Pilgrim (pictured above left), who sold the property alongside fellow Sales Executive Ryan Stapleton, said the result was a stand-out.

“This was a sensational result for our vendor with the property selling $58,000 over the reserve following the red-hot competition,” Mr Pilgrim said.

“The campaign was incredibly active and we ended up attracting 13 registered bidders on the day and it was that competition that drove such a good price.

“Auction is such a good way to sell property in any market because you only need two buyers who really want the property - and when you have 13 - you know you're in for a good day.”
